I will have them out soon as these get here. Some are ready to go now. I am one of those hostesses that likes to get the cards right out after the due date. I don't mind waiting a couple of days when someone lets me know for sure...but there are several people who haven't sent their cards and haven't let me know anything. Therefore I assume they aren't sending cards. That's OK. Just please don't send your cards a week late without telling me because I won't be able to swap them. I don't pressure anyone about a swap, I know that sometimes things happen and you can't get them done. I do understand this. No problem. But if yours are in the mail and you haven't told me...please do so I can wait for them OK?? :) Thanks becky-bear ------------------------------ From: Jackie Harris Date: Wed, 19 Feb 1997 23:20:33 -0600 (CST) Subject: Re:NEED INFO ABOUT MICHAEL JR (burned little boy) Frist let me say to Stargazser, I hope you don't mind me useing your e-mail addy, I have try for three days to get this mail out it keeps coming back. Worked out great!!! Very little fuss or muss. The pigment ink didn't bleed and the lacquer intensified the pencil coloring. The recipients of these gift boxes had totally satisfying "fits" over them while I, with eyes modestly downcast, murmured, "Shucks, any stamper worth her rubber coulda done it." Give it a try!!! Received WOW! My secret stamper is so great! Not only did I get my February box, but I also got a separate birthday box! I saved the first box to open on my birthday so I could doubly enjoy it. Thanks!! The February box was a Valentine's theme with lots of goodies: -A heart shaped sponge -A heart shaped bar of soap -2 different bath gels (Boy can I pamper myself with these!) -A votive candle handstamped with red lips! Very sexy! -3 Ghirardelli chocolates (yum!) -A cute heart stamp, looks like a Stampin' Up? -A great "when you care enough, it's handmade" type stamp with a crown on it sort of like the Hallmark crown. This is a great stamp! Thanks. Now, my special birthday box had a corner punch in it! How perfect! I was looking at these in the store just this week, but couldn't justify them at this time so you must have been looking over my shoulder! I ran around trying to find some paper to try it out on. All the bills that came in the mail that day are now punched! My husband even thinks it is cool. Thank you for thinking of my birthday! That was very, very sweet of you to send a separate package. -And a great card using deckle scissors, layers and three pots of flowers. I love how you cut out the pots and glued them on. Nice effect. You are terrific! I had a great birthday thanks to you! And how it never stops at YOUR house? 2. A computer screen makes a great light table for dry embossing when you're too lazy to drag out the real one...yeah, I know, SOME people have space enough to keep their's set up all the time! I hate neat, organized people, don't you? 3. This is how you judge the "necessity" value of a stamp(or any craft related item): It must meet the following three criteria: 1. You must 'see' it. 2. You must 'like' it. 3 You must 'want' it. It's that simple! And all this time I've been trying so hard to make up my mind as to which stamp is gonna put me over the edge. I hope these words of wisdom have edified at least one of you who was bored enough to keep on reading! I have been a subscriber ro The Stamper's Sampler, and like that because of the photos of cards that I might even(someday)do. I'm not saying that I LOVE everything in every issue, but there is always something to learn, and before I got into brayering, I'm sure I didn't spend a second looking at those cards, but when I wanted ideas for that, there they were! The Rubber Stamper, I liked the opening issue better than this one. But I subscribed way before the 1st one came out. As for the Somerset Studio, I did the same thing and subscribed sight unseen, and since I don't do a whole lot of layering, I am not as excited about this at this time. Later when I become the layering queen, I'll be so happy that I have it. I also have done calligraphy for years and so this may refine me some in that dept. That is all I subscribe to, and so the replies that you get are of interest to me, too. Good luck on your quest, Marianne aka Rubberrannie P.S.
