You can also braid/knot the cords into bracelets, earrings, etc... The cords are stiff enough to keep their shape without glue if you tie the knots tight enough - a great project for older children on a car or plane ride. On cards, the Mizuhiki cords can be attatched flat or coiled and loose. You could form red cords into a big heart, make strings for balloons, coil them into a dazzling hairdo, make pastel embellishments for an ocean card, or ??? My dog has recently come down with nasty allergies. She sneezes constantly it seems, and her nose is really runny. And with a dog her size, it's not a pretty picture . I called the vet and she said to give her a Benedryl every 8 or so hours. But I *really* hate to have her doped up all the time. Is anyone here on the list versed in homeopathic or natural remedies for allergies? I haven't changed her diet (a high quality one) or any perfume or anything like that. She is on a tablespoon of brewers yeast a day for ticks and fleas (which she does not have) but she's been on that since she was a puppy. I moderate/supervise a Weimaraner dog list, but they came up empty. I'm open to suggestions. I am relieved for now, the stress was really getting to me. He has dropped out of school three times now, which is minor compared to his use of speed. Tried counseling, medication, meetings, you name it we tried it. I have gotten to the point though that I know I didn't fail as a parent, but that these were his choices, but the pain and shame has been great. Sorry guys, didn't mean to vent. My family and I moved to Kent about 1 year after the shootings, when I was only 4 years old, but that event was and is *still* so much a part of Kent. I remember on the 10th anniversary of the shootings (when I was 13), my cousin and I were walking around downtown, and the looks on people's faces were so haunting... I could tell that they were in a far off place... remembering. I went to KSU, and I remember seeing the bullet holes in some of the buildings, and a large metal sculpture near where the shootings took place. Now there is a lovely memorial on campus, and every May 4th there are candle light vigils, observances, and afternoon classes are cancelled. Some people think that Kent should just "forget about it", but it sure hasn't yet, and I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing.
