Sorry to non-rs related but I know there are a lot of medical gurus out = here and I need this info fast. I will cut to the chase, my daughter's = GS Leader had Hepatitis (I think A) just two weeks ago, was diagnosed = last week and has pretty much been asleep since the meeting two weeks = ago. Well to make this long story a bit shorter (not by much though ) I = though it best that she stay home for the meeting tomorrow night and I = would lead the meeting with another mother ( I am the asst leader) She = has no children and I feel she does not understand how kids in = Kindergarten can count on having one minor virus after another from = Thanksgiving until Easter and she could actually make her problem worse = not to mention that I have no desire to compromise the health of my3 = kiddos, she is mad, hot under the collar. Was I way off base telling her = to stay home (I did do it nicely and was honest about my concerns) But = from a medical standpoint was I being a goofus? I think that it is a = virus that I can avoid (we do serve food and drinks at meetings....and = it was only two weeks ago she got ill.....) I mean truly I think I am = more paranoid aboutt his than if she had aids (cuz I KNOW my kids aren't = having sex at Girl Scouts or doing anything that can give you HIV or = aids, but this is different!) So let me have it...did I screw up? I need to know...
