Hey, guys, have any of you ever had problems with embossed images later peeling? This has happened to me a couple of times, most recently just this evening when my gorgeous cards I spent hours on last night peeled. Aaargh! The other time have been with valentines and one with images I made for a scrapbook. All three times I have been using gold embossing powder, but from several different brands (no, not all at once). I've just embossed on regular cardstock, then cut out the images. I'm wondering if this could be collage related? Is it the rubber cement? I was careful not to get any on the actual stampings. It just drives me crazy because nothing is different....I mean, it's always been powder I've used successfully a thousand other times....and same with cardstock. It makes me nervous, too. I'd hate for cards to arrive for a swap or something and have the power all have fallen off. Am I the only person this has happened to? Thanks, Cynthia ------------------------------ From: Darlene Sybert Date: Wed, 26 Feb 1997 23:54:02 -0600 (CST) Subject: Re: Marsha Surad, Part 2 On Wed, 26 Feb 1997, Patricia Zoline wrote: > Well, the plot thickens. Just have to tell all of you about the wonderful service I received from a vendor on this list - Sue of Wacky Wagon's Ladybug. A few weeks back, Sue had wrote to the list regarding some extra copies she had of RSM and Somerset. I reserved copies of both - I sent my check off, she sent the package off. I think about 2 1/2 weeks went by, and I still had not received them. Sue was emailing me every few days, checking to see if I'd gotten them yet, but they were nowhere to be seen. Finally, last week, I told Sue that sometimes this just happens with mail from and to Alaska - and not to feel bad, that I was not upset at all. It would've been different if it had been a major stamp order or something like that. Anyway, Sue insisted on re-sending me copies of both, priority mail, and she also included a copy of Stampers Sampler. I received them today in the mail, along with an extra surprise. I am now in RS magazine heaven, getting to see all these wonderful cards and being amazed at how many of the list members names I see on the credits. But back to the subject, I want to let you all know that I was so pleased with all that Sue did for me in a situation that she had no control over. And I continue to be amazed at the wonderful service that I receive from all the vendors I have dealt with so far. When you live so far away from the lower 48, you come to really appreciate the people who go the extra mile for you (literally). Baggie, Evo, Sheryl, Betsy, Tracey, Jim, Tonya, Sue - these are wonderful people I have dealt with so far, and I know there are many more that I haven't 'met' yet, and a few that I probably forgot. Don't you think we should have a "Vendor Appreciation" week sometime? We could all post our best/funniest/craziest vendor stories and flood their mailboxes with cards of appreciation. Just a thought!
