If it did and you are reading it for the 2nd time , I am sorry.Major email probs lately. I got my 1st mail addressed to our new home yesterday [2/19] and it is SO thoughtful!!! The box was rubberbanded to my mailbos and it is large and wrapped inside and out with Valentine paper. Insisne were two or three or four items that brought tears to my eyes and the rest big smiles. What a thing to get as a 1st mail at a new house in the midst of chaos! What a well-timed blessing! Oh-and it was from "me at my old address' Ha! I am sure the new mailman loves me! A very lovely "We've moved to" stamp with a house with a heart was one of the individually wrapped gifts inside. Another is a cotton Turkish Tapestry of a mare and a foal. This hanging above boxes in our den. So [s]he knows I am a horse lover. Anyone who does not discourage my hobby is my friend but to get me horse-related items is SO special. RoseArt's cool alphabet stamp markers were in another box-I didn''t have any letter stamps and my children and I had fun with them last night. A red snappy box elegantly wrapped has 4 um's- a horse, a horse skull, a rhino and a cat. I love them. Black dye Halos inked wrapped-very timely and very needed! Two pair of beautiful earrings-one looks like agate? They are my style and look like I picked them. Western topped pencils have been stolen by my kids-these have big wooden tops on them , a boot, a hat, and a horse. These are going on my bnew mantle with other Western horse items. I have already mentioned one of the tear releasers-my new addy and never yet seriously used name of the tree farm. Also the "we've moved" stamp cost me some kleenes but the greatest emotional upheaval came from a matted, framed, bless this house hand made picture. I think it was stamped enlarged and colored with markers. Lovely!! In the front room it hangs in a special place. AND a lovely Valentine on black gloosy with, layers, roses and a neat poem inside. Thank you! Thank you! I was a Radio Communications major and worked a news shift at the college radio station. I had not yet been "on air" yet, as my shift didn't come up until later that week. I walked into the radio station, not knowing what was going on. The D.J. on the air at the time threw some news copy in my hand and said "don't you do news?" I said yes, so he pushed me into the news booth and said "read this at the end of this song." I had about 45 seconds to preread the copy... not much time to prepare to tell our listeners that the Challenger had just blown up. Not much time to even prepare myself. The D.J. pointed at me when I was to start, and I cried my way through that news cast. I cried not only for the fact that those people had died, but the fact that I knew several of them, if not personally, then through their kids or just from them living in my neighborhood. I grew up (and still live) down in the Clear Lake area of Houston, right near the Johnson Space Center/NASA. I could stand in my front yard and see at least five different astronauts homes, and went to school with several of their kids. I not only dated one of Storey Musgrave's kids (he just went up a couple of missions ago and is the oldest man to go into space), but actually went to college with Storey.
