Hi gang! I received the special "catch up" edition of the Stamper's Sampler yesterday - the one that will be a yearly issue. Packed full of great samples. Wonderful card showing a monster eating an ear of corn attached to black paper. How clever!!! Danielle's card is on page 29 - Women Spirits - rainbow brayered background on glossy paper and the Stamp Woman Spirit stamp all over it - I've seen this card and it is wonderful. Also - a former list member are in here - Linda Pagel has a card on page 21 using a napking and gold embossing stars. Didn't the Midnite Stamper used to subscribe? If so, she has lots of cards in there. Lea Everse has a card in there - beautiful work as always. If I missed anyone, please accept my apologies. I don't always know people's last name - especially if they always use nicknames. If anyone else is in there, let us know!!! This has inspired me to turn in some of my creations. But, The feeling will surely last longer than one day. I thought being in the SS twice would be nice. Making up two gifts a month. I love buying, making and giving gifts. But, I have to admit. Being on the recieving end is quite a joy. Especially with SS's like mine. I am going through this great big box right now. The first thing I see is something I thought about this morning. I need another album to put my favorite cards in. And like *Magic* Here it is. So beautiful. And filled with lots of pretty paper, envelopes, stickers, poems, and even some postage stamps, Yahoo!!!! The ribbon and trims you sent are so pretty too. I like the pin you made for me. I think I will wear it to the Fort Washington Convention. I hope you don't mind, But, I shared some of my Hersheys Kisses with Andy, Edward, and Eric. They liked that. The boys enjoy seeing Mommy get gifts in the mail. It seems to give them the idea that Mommy is a special person to be recieving gifts. By the way. You mentioned about it being a bummer that this swap is ending in June. I would really love to continue on with you after June when I find out who you are. If you want we can exchange gifts back and forth. I would love that. Let me know. I think it would be fun. I love confetti too. Everything is wrapped so pretty. I'll tell you this S.S. swap thing is Really Cool. Thank You so much for being so Sweet. Really quick, huh? The card is absolutely GORGEOUS! Thanks so much for sending it. Hey, I've got a question for you. I'm stamping on wood boxes and plan to sell them at shows. I've tried really hard to just use stamps by Angel companies, but know of at least one stamp I've already used that is non-Angel. Some boxes have maybe 15-20 images, and can't imagine any company chasing me for one twentith of the profit I make from a box (there isn't that much profit anyway, believe me, with all the time it takes to decorate the boxes). I want to use this stamp, in particular, on the bottom of the box along with a "Hand Stamped" stamp and a signature stamp. I know that Judikins isn't an angel company, but I feel that this stamp will look so nice on the box. I could just make another stamp with the same words, but it seems so silly -- it's not as if the words were copyrighted. Do you think I'm just being anal and paranoid. Should I have another stamp made (not only extra expense, but takes time that I don't have to spare), or just go with it and hope no one says anything. I even though about putting something (maybe a stamp or a pad) inside and then selling the stamp or pad for $30 and including the "special gift enclosure". Whadda ya think? Thanks, linda BTW, I sent in my booth money for the Rocky Mt Hi show.
