There have been about two dozen posts lately, it seems, regarding stamp credits, and how to do it, and the different ways to do it, and apologizing for not doing it, etc., etc. I want to enjoy rubber stamping, not be intimidated by its rules. LOL I went to the er, and they did some test, but I had to go back the next day for xrays. They told me I had sludge, and small gallstone. I went to the doc that week, and he did the surgery the next Monday. I went home that Tues. They gave me shots, and pain pills when I went to er. It's funny, when the pain went away after the visit to the er, I didn't have anymore before the surgery was done. They said the pain only usually last about 10 hours. You would think it would last till the surgery was done.???? They made 4 little incisions, one just above the belly button, one about 10 inches higher, 2 on my right side about 5 inches apart. I think a couple of them took 1 or 2 stitches, and the other 2 just a bandaide. I'm telling you all of this because I know how scarry it is going in for something like this, and not knowing what to expect. You can't do any heavy lifting, and things like that for a few weeks, and you will be sore, but it really wasn't bad.. he said ocassionally they will have to do the surgery the old fashion way where they have to cut you open, and they won't know until they get in there if they have to do it or not. But... mine was with the scope.. I am posting this to the list just in case anyone else has the problems too. Hugs to you.. I can't believe the beautiful key chain you made, Have to keep that away from the cats for sure. Jessica Edwards made a very nice card and envelope with peppers all over. Did you carve your pepper? Will have to show this card to Princess, she will love it. Bonnie Halverson made a card and envelop that must have been the faux leather from Commmotion. First time I have seen this and I love the texture. The stamping is almost like leather tooling. Where did you get your saying? "your feet can learn the steps, but only your spirit can dance!" I need that. An unsigned card with a Zuni pot with prickly pear cactus and collaged mulberry and maybe some hand made paper. You need to sign your card and take credit for your creative card. Very nice. Another unsigned card with sand and cacti onthe front. The back says Handstamped under the influence of caffeine. How did you do the sky? The texture is great and the stars must be Egytian Gold. Good job. The last card I recieved is from Rae. Great card and finally I get to see someone use those corner scissors. Really like the look on this piece. She used the Zuni pot in large and small sizes. How did you colour your paper? It looks aged and almost like leather. This was a fun swap and Harley just grabbed the key-chain and ran so gotta catch her. Libby in Stone Mtn. I've heard others say the notebook system works best for them, so I did try it--but it was unhandy for me. I seem to do better if I store my stamps by category. When I'm building a scene and I decide a tree would be good here, it's better if I can go to one spot and see all the possible trees I have. If I have to check in several places, I get distracted by the other images I see along the way and lose my thread of creativity as far as the original scene is concerned. Of course, you must remember, I only have 3 dozen unmounted (now on HALOS) stamps--and 2/3 of those are the Metropolitan Museum stamps which have their own drawer anyway. Speaking of which, I just bought their Ancient Egypt set...some fantastic images in there, also.
