But it is Darlene Sather again, you know about her father, she was in Az taking care of him, as his health is so bad,, and her grandma died while she was there,, and the funeral was on Sat.. and to make it even worst,, her daughter had to be moved to make room for grandma, which was very hard on DArlene, ( Darlene"s daughter was killed in a plane accident about this time a few years ago),I saw Darlene on sunday and Monday and can tell she is really struggling,,last night her mother ( who lives close) had a stroke and is in the hostipal,, I ask that we all take a minute and say a prayer for her and her family and for her own health and peace of mind.. and while your at it, say a prayer for other list members and their families and to give everyone strengh to make it thru hard times.. Darlene is a wonderful person and I hope to see her laughter and little warp sense of humor back on here real soon. if you wonuld like to send her a card, you can send them to me or I will try to get her address and post it to the list.. with her permission.. Penney used Thank You as her background stamped in gold all over. There are pink, teal, and purple squares embossed with gold heart designs and a wonderful message inside. Thank you Penney. Ruth E did a beautiful flower label with the thank you inside of the label.Very elegant. Flowers were colored in. Nice job Ruth Kathy did a cute winter THANKS with a polar bear flocked, I birdhouse with snow and little birds on a white paper, mounted on teal paper, mounted on a white card. Used a bubble scissors on teal paper and ripple scissors on the the white. Very nice Ruth. Janice did a fun one. It looked like a flower folded up and when unfolded, it opened to confetti and a thamk you inside and the petals were decorated with lovenotes and butterflies. Cute Stuff Janice. Paula SL a dewdrop fairy that looks to be watercolored too on top of a pretty multi-colored pastel background. Unknown artists with tulips and thanks on top of a lavender-pink background. Tammy - green, purple and pink with a dog, dog tracks and a quote "Folk will know how large your soul is, By the way you treat your dog!" - Charles F. Doran. I learned a few signs and the one of the shaking "T" for toilet was used a lot by all the kids and us adults. I signaled that I was going to the ladies room at a Reserve function that my ex and I were at and my Warrent Officers wife got this really strange look on her face. It turns out that she is from Germany and over there that sign is equivalent to our middle finger salute! I just said I was sorry and explained that it didn't mean that here. Other than that I loved using what I did know. Unfortunately, when you have CRS (can't remember shit!) finger spelling is a real problem unless I have a pencil and paper..... I think ASL should be a mandatory course taught in all schools. We make a birthday cake for Gage every year, and the kids put the candles on and sing...some years are easier and some are harder. This one has been quite hard, but, as I usually find, the days leading up to it and in anti- cipation of it were harder than the day itself. Hang in there. We'll all be thinking about your family! Natural OR "induced"--makes no diff. I loved to read Norse mythology as a child, and REALLY identified with "Loki"--the Norse god of mischief, who was my first redhead fixation. Then, later, I got imprinted with Ginger Baker, the drummer for the rock group "Cream" (circa 1968-1970). Since I couldnt find a redhead feller....I became a redhead myself!! Then, dig this. One of the biggest romances of my life was with a redheaded rock n roll guitarist (I was 16)..then my school got an artist-in-residence named Bucky Jordan--a redheaded glassblower. (one of my other nicknames is Bucky...that's what most people call me..) My little groupie's heart was all aflutter: the perfect match: 2 redheaded artists named Bucky fall in love!!!! Alas..it all remained an unfulfilled fanatasy, as I was jailbait at the time. my god....i certainly have raised the lid on the broiling stew that is MY subconscious? all interpretations are welcome...
