None of those wimpy straw baskets for me, though. I'll need a cart. I have the layout of a favorite store in my mind. The first room has wall shelves and fixtures loaded with stamps, sorted by company. Effie Glitzfinger is to my immediate left when I enter the door. RBBB is across the room. A new company, Diamonds, is halfway between the walls. Better not forgot the location of Stampscapes, and those huge Magenta stamps. Is she selling Acey Deucy yet? Should I just take my arm and shove stamps into my cart, or head immediately to the back room where all the accessories are kept, not to mention the assorted boxed sets of Ken Brown's alphabet sets? Hard decisions--the entire line of Beedz, Suze Weinberg's Ultra thick, now in colors too, all the markers and stamp pads in the world, the entire line of Pear Ex, AIG and Artquest, not to mention two walls filled with gorgeous papers. And let's be practical--I'd better grab all of the wonder tapes I can find. Will I have enough time to hit it all? I'd better check the rules. If I have to be back to the counter before time is called, I may have to give up the back room. I think I'll stop in before the contest, for a pre-sweep planning session. Might as well buy a couple of things as long as l'm in the neighborhood. What if YOU win? I couldn't wait till boxing day to open the goodies though! I was too excited. Description of items: Handmade card (I checked the back) with a mouse standing before a little tree of bare branches and a paper bag of christmas tree lights. It says "Deck the halls with celebration". When you open the card, the tree is there with lights on it and little mouse footprints all around the base. Very clever and cute idea! Four C thru edging rulers (all in designs I did not yet have!) and a great heart stencil with 2 different lace edges. Adorable tiny handmade book in the shape of a pine tree held closed with gold cord. Accordion fold pages inside read "Love and joy come to you." This is so clever! It is hanging on my tree, now. Aleen's BOX MAKER -- this looks SOOOO cool! and four homemade boxes (2 are blind embossed) containing christmas candy, Christmas confetti, little christmas light die cuts, and a neat small dry cleaning pad which I guess has pounce in it to run over your cards to clean them and keep excess EP from sticking. I promised them alligator chip cookies and coconut mile, and instead left tropical fruit and margaritas. No excuse sir. The alligator got away and the cat drank the coconut milk. Now that I've had a chance to look around here, I see that Santa's reindeer fertilized our hybiscus tree (maybe it will put out some leaves as well as flowers now), and the golf green out in back. I think the golfers who play tomorrow won't be so happy about that, but hey, it'll green up the grass. We haven't had too much rain lately. And I had a package of homemade fudge in the frig that my friend made for Rich (well, ok, he's not supposed to eat it, but he loves it and she makes it for us both). Now I can't find it anywhere. Do you suppose those chocolate lovin' thieves, Santa and Giggles had anything to do with the missing item? I'll just bet they did. And look out there in the yard. Three of the sprinkler heads are damaged from little reindeer paws, and the water is gushing all over the place and has put out the lights that decorate the house. Grrrrrrrrrr. Ah well, it's only once a year. So now it's time to open that giftie that they left under the tree. I have the permission. I'm tearing off this lovely tissue very carefully. It's so very pretty that I certainly want to recycle it. Oh my! Look at this. My Christmas wish was for a House Mouse - even just a stamped card. Well, believe it or not... I've got a house mouse all right. Two of them. Drinking cocoa from a teacup sitting next to a container of instant hot cocoa. Above it says: "You're my Cup of Cocoa." But the nicest thing about this is that it's stamped on a wooden cutting board and embossed in black and colored with markers. On the reverse is Miss Linda's signature. I have this wonderful Giggles original now. I'm so proud. Gonna find a special place to hang this in my cat adorned kitchen so everyone can see it and admire it. These are two fine mice that my cats (not even the ceramic ones) will eat. Thank you so very much Linda. I LOVE this. I wish I had been able to catch you and give you a great big hug, but you and the old coot were just moving too fast.
