Ooops, sorry everyone. Guess I wasn't clear as to what I meant by confetti swap. This would be little baggies of confetti. I use a 3 x 3 bag and fill it about 1/3 full. And again, I'd like everyone to be a little creative with these - no hearts or stars! LOL I know there are some great confetti out there and I'd like to see some samples! Let me know if you want to play! Kari I've included my original post below. Anyone interested in doing a confetti swap? I know I am not the only confetti freak out there! And I'm hoping we can make this one creative, how about sending things other than stars and hearts? LOL - let's see all different kinds of confetti! Let's set tentative due date to February 1st. How about X for X and please don't send extras for me! I have 213 different kinds of confetti, so I will be playing also. Remember, be creative, no hearts or stars! We (DH Paul and I) attended our youngest son's graduation from college last Sunday, then visited with him and our daughter and several of my sibs over Christmas. When we returned home, I had a beautiful Christmas card waiting for me, handstamped by Anne Smith. I'll try to describe it, but I don't think I can do it justice with words. On the front, layering with solid white, solid red, and green-and-white-plaid paper is used to give a 3-D effect. Upper left: stamped in green on white over red, with a small snowman cleverly tucked in between the layers. Lower right: a snowman family of 4, raised on foam over red over green plaid. Upper right and lower left: buttons and bows. A heart-shaped button with a ribbon bow over green plaid over red. Then, on the inside: . Anne says she is a newbie, but this card does not look to me like the work of a newbie. Truly beauty-full. Thank you, Anne. I hope your holidays are happy days and the New Year fulfills your fondest dreams. From AlphaBecky (a.k.a. our wonderful hostess): Though a huge coke bottle towers over her, a woman lies onthe ground and sobs "This just can't be as big as it comes!!" Been there. Done that. :) Love the sky, too. Frantic Stamper: She has a basket with a coke and also perrier in it, but the three ants are carrying off a pepsi bottle (mounted cleverly on foam core so it stands out.) Above this is the caption: 2 out of 3 ants prefer the taste of pepsi. This is stamped on blue and then layered on beige. Very stylish, though I disagree with the ants' preference! :) Michelle Oakley stamped a dark red notecard with the Coca-Cola logo repeatedly in black. Over this she layered white glossy cardstock with a tap and a bucket of three cokes in black. Cool! Jaimee Givens--The front of the notecard is stamped with coke bottles in alternating red and brown. Then at the center of the card she cut out the shape of a coke bottle and you can see through it to the coke bottle inside. (This is one of those clever effects I admire, but cannot do!) Also, inside she layered "It's the real thing" over red. Thanks to all, especially AlphaBecky for hosting! Of course place a mess from holiday shoppers and working on all these wall paper samples for everyone. Imagine, in this teeny, tiny place she found something to buy. That is so nice as most stampers have seen the great big places and I wonder how I can have anything they don't have, but guess I do. So many nice people on this list. Take care and thanks to everyone. Am getting the wallpapers out and having fun doing them. One more - who's store is in Grants Pass, OR? Some of my customers from LA were in today also and they were up there and took a Stampscape class - loved it and said how much fun it was and how nice everyone was. Thanks for being so nice to them. I feel so bad. I knew there was a planned outage as Dueling Modems moved the servers from Florida to Missouri... but the plan was to hook back up mail first, so it was supposed to be only a few hours in the middle of the night last night. Well, obviously a few hours has stretched some, and I really should have told people. My thinking at the time I decided not to was that it would be barely noticeable and why alarm anyone? That and I'm lazy. So anyways, do not adjust your set, the problem is temporary and was planned and when all is hooked back up we will be running on servers (I think) three times as fast. Or else 13 times as fast. I forget. T3 line anyway, for those of you that is meaningful to. ETA now is tomorrow morning. So hold tight, you now know everything I know. Oh except for one thing... they are posting progress reports on the SFRT web page (which right now is also down, but should be back momentarily), which is http://www.sfrt.com/sfrt_new.htm and you can check there and probably know MORE than I do. See you all tomorrow sometime, when the list is hooked back up! Sorry for not telling you before now. ========================================================================= Janet Detter Margul | Real women don't have hot flashes...
