Good question, and NOT even a TAN, IMHO! I get inspired, believe it or not, by sheer necessity. When I HAVE to have a card done RIGHT NOW, I throw my appropriate stamps on the table and just create. Some of my best stuff is done that way. Also, if I see a painting I like, or a style I like, I will try to adapt my stamps to fit the colors which appealed, or the composition.
