Let me tell you that he was/is very impressed by the cards we received. In fact he is so impressed that he asked if he could take the cards to his class to do a sort of RS "show & tell" for his students and the faculty members at the local technical college where he teaches. He feel sure that some of them will become interested in rubberstamping when they see what you sent. He has tried to tell them about my interest in stamping but he cannot get them to visualize just how stamps with words like "paid, draft, copy and received" could be so exciting. DH took it upon himself to order a new fonts package for me to give me greater variety for use with the cards I make. He also brought home a copy of the new 1998 Nasco Arts & Crafts Catalog and told me to see if I needed anything to use with my stamps. Poor husband!! Apparently he has never seen me in a buying frenzy at a craft store repeating over and over to myself, "buy it now, the list members will create a need for it later." DH wanted me to tell my rubberstamping friends thank you for him for the cards. He is overwhelmed that people we have never met would be so kind asto send us cards. I say ditto and thank you for helping to make this anniversary the best one ever. I am gonna test something here. I have been playing with my many computer toys, and I have made some really cool background papers. These are printed on high quality matte cardstock, 8.5 x 11. What I currently have available: Florals (in many color schemes) Wild (my description....these are various patterns..."ethnic" looking I guess) Blue Batik Dots (these are very textural looking...I have several color schemes) Gardening Checks (green shades or tan/browns) Tea time Country (has birdhouses, flowers, etc) Cows (little black cows on white background) These are the perfect size for homemade envys, or you can cut them up to use as you wish. They would also be nice for scrapbooking....in my opinion anyway!! So...here is the deal. I figured this forum would be a good way to see if there is enough interest for me to really persue this. As a tester, the sheets will be .15 each, or 10 for $1..plus shipping costs. If you would like more info, please contact me privately. These my first 2 orders from posts to the list and I'm thrilled with the service. I was a little unsure of ordering so it was great to have such nice results. By the way Ruthann I got the Embossing Arts stamp Cleaner today, it smells so good and works equally well. Thanks Again!! I put a circle of loop tape on the end and use them for mounts for my "baby" stamps. I store them by adhering loop tape to a CD jewel case and plunking all my baby stamps onto it. I received my SS package for round #5, for November and December, today in the mail. Yeah!! Thank you Delores Hunt, who was my SS. It was quite the package! Inside was a whole bunch of Hershey's miniatures, sprinkled throughout the prizes. There was a Judikins EP (mystique), a little bottle of something purple, called Stickles for paper (I have never had any of this, so it will be fun to play with it), and a Winnie the Pooh calender in a box (Neat!). There were two carousel animal stamps, from Mostly Animals (I absolutely love their stamps!), a carousel horse and a carousel ostrich. These are so neat! Thank you very much! Now the very best thing that was in the package, that I have been wanting for ever, is a PIP stamp positioner, with instructions, so I can figure out how to use it. I hope I didn't leave anything out. Thank you very much Delores, I will think of you everytime I use my goodies. I hope you are feeling better.
