Don't anyone laugh, BUT......my daughter's 1st bday was Dec. 31, so I needed to have the tree down for her party. I didn't have enough time to do it properly, so......I took off the most breakable ornaments and my DH carried it downstairs. There I threw a couple of blankets over it. My sis-in-law and I have decided I'd do better just to leave it like that. It'll make decorating next year easier. And if I try to disassemble it, I might miss deadlines for my swaps :-). I guess you could say I'm a "basement cleaner". DH now refers to it as "the basement tree". They were pretty quiet so after about 15 mins. we decided to check on them. The 4 year old had escaped, gone into the bathroom, gotten all my makeup and tossed it over the gate. He then climbed the gate again and the 3 of them decorated the room. The walls, the furniture, the gate, the bedding, the windows, the curtains, the toys....everything!!!! It took me WEEKS to get that all cleaned. After that, we put 2 gates on the door (one above the other) that solved the problem until he learned to open the gate. :-) Kim: The Happy Stamper This message was from HpyStamper - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. This is what I did with my swaps. If I got the right size envelope I'd send the swap back with whatever postage was sent. If it's not enough then the person receiving the swap has postage due. This way it doesn't cost me anthing to return the swap. When I emailed Lisa privately she told me why she requested extra postage. It makes sense to me who wants to pay for other peoples postage, especially with the size of her swaps. As for people not sending big enough envys I just sent them on of mine. However, my swaps were relatively small I wouldn't want to do this for everyone. She also requsts 5X7 envys for her swaps. I think that is a good idea. That way everyone knows what to send so the hostess doesn't end up providing envys for the swap. I also agree with Brenda, if people don't send what the hostess requests the email the participant and ask for what is missing. When you join a swap you should send what is requestd. Unless, you are absent mind like me. Right Anno?! But we worked that problem out though emailing each other. Or, putting a note in with the swap asking to be sent the additional postage, etc. I, as a participant, would not be offended to have this happen. I wouldn't want the hostess to be out money because of my oversight. Just my 2cents. Reminded me of the time my DH and I were house hunting. We were going through this beautiful model home, lots of salesmen and shoppers milling about. We walked into a room that had tons of skylights in the ceiling, very beautiful and bright; well my DH walked into the room, I flew.......I was looking up at the ceiling and didn't see the step down into the room. My flying was fine but I don't land worth a damn! Of course everyone saw it. I got a huge blister from rug burn on my ankle. Other than the blister, the worse wound was to my pride. I couldn't limp out of there fast enough. We got in the car and my DH says "your flying really sucks". We didn't buy the house either....I wouldn't have gone back in there if they were giving it away. Brenda At 05:06 PM 1/5/98 -0500, you wrote: > > >>Sunday night I had a little accident.
