Pam used the big Magenta mom cat and kitten stamp, layered on something like cream-colored mulberry, then placed on an off-white card. I have that stamp, but still have not made any cards with it. Guess I need to! Also--I loved all the cat sayings! Barbara did a neat tri-fold valentine card in red cs, with a red heart-shaped doily over the center fold, on which she's mounted a glittery cat with heart- shaped spots! Very festive! (Guess this means I can start sending out my valentine cards to CCCCers, too! Thanks to both of you--I'll get your next cards out tomorrow, if I can get out of our driveway--BIG snow storm hit today! This stuff is a little tricky to use. It is easily overheated, but with a little practice the results are well worth the frustration learning how to use it, IMHO, of course! Stamp N Stick is a product made by Stewart Superior. The label reads as follows: Stamp N Stick (SNS) - A stamping bonding powder. SNS is used to bond a variety of materials such as glitter, flock, and foil to stamped areas, creating wonderfully unique images. Simply apply SNS as you would embossing powder. For best results heat SNS just long enough until image becomes shiny. Apply desired material to stamped area quickly or SNS will lose tackiness. Tap off excess material. Heat image again to set the material. Use your imagination for unlimited stamping possibilities. - Hope this helps! Enjoy! geevee if moose had wings, they'd be angels! I'd check with a woodsmith to see if anything can be done--I'm sure it can. Good Luck! Just me begging for help again. It's a birthday party this time. A slumber party. Despite what I thought were pretty convincing arguments and the best darned puppy dog eyes I could muster, my daughter vetoed Chuck E. Cheese and chose a slumber party for her 7th birthday. So here's my problem...now what in the heck do I do?!? Here's what I've got: 8 - 6 and 7 year old girls coming to my house after school on a Friday and staying until mid-morning Saturday. I have all the plates, cups, balloons, decorations, cake and favors taken care of. The theme is The Rainbow Fish, from the book. Food doesn't concern me since they're only 7. Of course I risk them being appalled at my serving plain ol hot dogs and then they'll make fun of my daughter until she graduates from high school. Here's what I need: Games. What do I do with them for 18 hours? I mean, they'll sleep part of the time I'm sure but I've still got a lot of space to fill. It's been cold lately so indoor games would be better. Crafts and stuff. I've got one project taken care of, and of course they can stamp themselves silly, but I really don't have any other ideas. I was trying to think of some fish or ocean related crafts but nothing comes to mind. I've searched most of the web sites I could find and found a couple of ideas but not nearly enough. And not nearly as good as the stuff I get from ya'll. The party's on the 16th so I have plenty of time to procrastinate. Thanks for the help! Response to this is great! Lots of players!! Ok, here is the scoop! DUE DATE: February 1st, 1998 WHAT TO SEND: X for X, how many you send is how many you get back. Please don't send me extras as I will be playing too! Remember, let's make this fun and send some really cool confetti!!!! No stars/hearts! LOL HOW MUCH TO SEND: Depends on you. But I would suggest, no less than a 3 x 3 little baggie 1/3 full. POSTAGE: $1.00 for 5, $2.00 for 10. If any of you have any suggestions for a different amount, please contact me. I'm not sure how to do postage for this one as some people may send big amounts compared to some send smaller amounts. I will try to swap equal amounts but that will be hard to do, cause I don't want to split up packages of confetti. Any ideas? Did I forget anything? Oh, yeah.... SEND TO: Kari Mattocks P.O. About 3 people have emailed me about the cost of shipping small handmade books in previous swaps and let me know that is usually takes $3.00. I can already tell we are going to have some great small handmade books!!!!! But....We always need more players! Please join us! Treasure books, Concertina books, etc. Details: 6 for 5, small (under 4 inches) handmade books. Bound however, decorated however, your choice whether to collage inside pages, # of pages should be at least 4 (I guess, LOL). Due Date: March 1st! Postage: Send $3.00 priority postage and a SAE. If yours costs more to send to me, please include additional postage. Although I can't imagine 6 little books ever costing over priority postage! All my memories of her are of her sitting at the kitchen table doing crossword puzzles - always - as far back as I could remember. But she must have done it when I wasn't home, because the house was always clean - I mean really clean. My room wasn't DIRTY, but it wasn't NEAT either. Somehow my clothes never found their way to the laundry hamper and piled up on my bureau. And books too, and school stuff and other stuff. Every now and then I'd come home and find it all cleaned up. Then I'd scream because I couldn't find anything. AND... though you could never find a dust bunny in HER house, when I had children she told me, "The dust will still be there long after you're dead and buried, but your babies only little for a short while. Enjoy them first. Dust later." I never really appreciated my mom back when I had her. Now I wish I could hug her again. She died 25 years ago this New Year's Day. And I suddenly realized the other day, that I'm a whole lot more like her than I ever thought I could or would be. I mentioned it to my sister on the phone on NY day, and she said it's happening to her too. We're becoming our mother. Only now, we really don't mind, in fact we're kinda happy about it. --`--,--{@ Patti in Fort Myers, FL @}--`--,-- ~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~^~:~ Computers are life.
