I can't remember which magazines I saw these and the other techniques in. First, I did the Petal Point trick. This is where you take the points out and just use them and their shape in ramdon stamping on the paper. Then cover with clear ep and emboss. Really great background. And if you need a heart shape , use the Petal points side to side to form a heart. Next, I used my metallic rub ons. I had bought them thinking they were chalk but had not tried them out yet. I did random rubbing with my finger and let set 1 day then stamped a large Denami fan in gold over the metallic rubs. Very nice effect. Lastly, I am finishing my cards for the PSX swap and like to made my cards open in the middle like doors . I'm making extras to have on hand. I've gotten into the habits of just make extras when doing cards for a swap. Yes, when I am inspired to make a single design for a card, I just make more sometimes with a little variation in colors. I have a friend who uses the vinyl cling method of mounting her stamps. I'm a HALOS user, so have no idea about this, so hope that someone can answer a couple of questions?? 1st...her vinyl cling has shrunk on the die..now she has a sticky border on the die that is a big mess. What does she do now? Does she have to pull everything off and start over? Can she use some sort of adhesive and put another piece of vinyl on top of what's already there? 2nd...some of her unmounteds that she ordered has already come with cushion that is only adhesive on the side of the rubber die. The other side of the cushion is textured...kind of rough. How would she go about putting vinyl on these dies? Is it possible? ...or does she have to rip off the cushion and use double sided sticky cushion to apply vinyl? Hopefully, I have made some sort of sense with these questions!! LOL Any help would be appreciated and I'll pass along the info to her.
