If you want one they're only $7 + shipping. You can choose the shipping you want. It's $3 for priority mail and most likely less for regular mail and it should be even less for book rate. I also have quite a few PSX stamps and supplies that I need to sell to get in new stock. I'll be listing the prices and items later tonight. Thanks! The first of the twosome teed off and watched in horror as the ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole. Indeed, the ball hit one of the men, and he immediately clasped his hands together at his crotch, fell to the ground and proceeded to roll around in agony. The woman rushed down to the man and immediately began to apologize. She then explained that she was a physical therapist and offered to help ease his pain. "Please allow me to help. I'm a physical therapist and I know I could relieve your pain if you'd just allow me!" she told him earnestly. "Ummph, oooh, nnooo, I'll be alright...I'll be fine in a few minutes," he replied as he remained in the fetal position still clasping his hands together at his crotch. But she persisted; and he finally allowed her to help him. She gently took his hands away and laid them to the side, loosened his pants and put her hands inside, beginning to massage him. "Does that feel better?" she asked. "It feels great," he replied. "But my thumb still hurts like hell !!" My 13 year old daughter got a white parakeet about two weeks ago........and found him dead in his cage today. Needless to say she is traumatized and grief-stricken. He seemed to be fine! He was eating fine......perhaps too much? We were not home yesterday...and his food dish was empty when we found him.....could he die from not eating one day? Perhaps she didn't do something she was supposed to? We wonder if he was sick when she got him...but how do you tell? He seemed fine! He was perky....much more so then the other birds!! I think she would like another bird...but is so afraid something will happen again that she is afraid to get a new one. He seemed to really take to her right away.....got on her finger the first day. She handled him quite a bit....which he seemed to love...didn't seem upset at all....very calm. Any ideas on what could have happened? Advice on choosing a new bird? Tips on how to care for them? Her grief is just breaking my heart!!!! Jamie :-( >> Dear Jamie, There are a number of things that could have happened...birds are very fragile creatures...How old was the bird...how much did you feed him a day...what did he have in his cage for play toys..How long have you had him and was he already reared when you got him? As to the question on choosing a bird..I tell everybody that I know that wants a bird to get one that is bred in a home and not a store bird...store birds aren't cared for as much usually..(No offense to pet store owners) Also getting one that you have to hand feed yourself is a great way for the bird to not feel major anxieties... The bird either could have been old...could have been scared while your away from something.. could have eaten too much.. If you like to e-mail me privately on more of this matter please feel free...I could go on all day with this..and I would end up typing a whole 6 page e-mail LOL...Please let me know about what happened at his last couple of days..maybe we can find the source... And for the papers and collage elements, feathers and candy (yum)! And the bag itself is wonderful, a colorful watercolor plaid on one side and it reverses to fine black and white stripes, the workmanship is very well done/ Thanks Baggie! I'm smilin'. The real thin ones seem to puncture easily & leak powder all over the place. The only time I use a container is when I am marbleing. It's sort of hard to do that with baggies. This was a lot harder than I ever dreamed it would be, and I still have some matches to fix and some new ones to make. My suggestion is that for Moms to share cards with their adoptees. I believe and have discussed with some others that the most valuable thing I have found is Swaps. I have learned more about stamping this way than any other. so when you do a card for a swap, send an extra to your adoptee. If there are special tricks or instructions involved send those as well. Be there to answer questions. I know I had so many questions when I first joined this list, and it is scary to post ignorance to the list, but I did. It will be easier to ask a Mom. The Adoptees, treat your moms good. They were wonderful about volunteering to adopt, so return their attention by making them cards as well. Trying out your new successes, and failures! There is nothing better than having mail art in your mail box. Eventually with experience you will be able to each draw from each other. Everyone will pick up something new to share. Also don't forget to share ideas on supplies. For instance, rather than buying corrugated paper, use the inside of light bulb boxes. those kind of tips save a fortune. Have a wonderful time! I mean if you picture your card as having 4 pages, I like to add little ditties on page 2 and then my main sentiment on page 3. And sometimes I even have a small stamped image that I can put with it. The image needs to be small but the quote or phrase can be any length - even a beloved poem. I especially like to do this on mother's day cards, father's day cards and anniversary or wedding cards. Birthday ones are fun if you can find a funny phrase and baby cards are fun if you can find a quite poem or child's nursery rhyme to add inside the cover. Just remember - keep it simple. I'm also getting about 300 messages every morning and finding out that messages that I sent out on Saturday are just now coming back. Yikes!!! >> ok --- let me help dispell some of the problems everyone is having with e- mail. If I send a message privately to one of you (who are NOT using the same server as me), it can take up to 6 hours to reach you ... do you know why ? Its because my message has to travel through several servers to get to you. Each server has to read it ... then re-write it ... then send it on to the next server. Sometimes this can take a long time. If you're sending a message to someone within the same server as you (i.e., AOL to AOL) then the messaging is typically instant. the message doesn't have to travel when this happens. When we're posting messages to the list, each of our servers had to do something different. That's why some people get messages to the list faster than others. Typically AOL people don't get messages quickly. Just a flaw in or little system. So -- be patient -- a message will eventually get to you ! :-) Hope this helped Lisa Wynn Stampher2@aol.com http://members.aol.com/stampher2/index.html This message was from Stampher2 - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
