Secure servers are secure. Period. Well, just as secure as it would be for you to be there in person and give them your cc. 2. I have sent my cc# via email a number of times and have never had a problem. There are a lot of ultra-paranoid people that will not do this but with the volume of data moving through the pipelines these days it really is unrealistic to think that someone is somehow collecting email messages with credit card numbers. If you are not comfortable with this you can do a couple of things - send half of your cc info in one email message and half in another or you can scramble it and send the 'descrambling' instructions in a separate message. I have never had a problem but everyone else's mileage will vary. I have never heard of anyone having a problem either. Whatever you decide to do you should be aware that if someone gets a hold of your cc you are liable for something like $300 max. I am not sure how this applies to mail order but I imagine it is the same (can anyone who knows fill us in on this please?). Hope this has helped.
