Yes this is an unmoderated list, so any vendor can post what and how they like. But when I read Melanie's original private message to Mariann, I found nothing offensive/rude/threatening in her remarks or her tone. On the contrary, it seemed helpful. It's unfortunate that Mariann took it so harsh! But then she posted this private exchange to the list, which is bad manners. Now she's "crying wolf" with her threats to leave, eliciting sympathy from members. Whatever! I love my delete key. My 2 cents ... Stamping Tip: One way to keep a record of your stamps is to trim white index cards to baseball card size. Stamp the image on one side, note manufacturer/artist on the reverse (especially important w/UMs). Store these cards in those plastic babeball card platic protector pages in a 3-ring binder. If you're like me, you'll categorize you images/pages. Take binder with you when stamp shopping/convention going. *** The beauty of this "system" is that if you weed out any images, you only discard the individual card. You don't have to re-do a page or cross anything out. xoxo, Michelle Cobb CobbStamp _______________________________________________________________________________ From: ecv500@JUNO.COM on Tue, Jan 13, 1998 9:34 PM Subject: Re: RS: No More Ads Ok, I have listened to enough. Mariann started this by posting a private E-mail and now she has turned herself into a victim. She started this very public problem. This is an unmoderated list but it is against so many unwritten rules to publicly repost a private message. None of this would have started if MariAnn had not done this. I have nothing against either of the injured parties here it is just getting tiresome watching someone trying to elicit sympathy for something that she caused herself. Or this could be done really anytime. Have you ever done Soot cards? If not this is what you need: glossy card stock. A candle. Matches. And the stamp you want to use. A clear acrylic spray Light the candle. Put flame right on the GLOSSY card and swirl the flame until all the card is done. Make sure you have something to put the card out if you have heated it well done. Then take a dry stamp and stamp on the card. Spray with acrylic. Let dry. Valentine sayings: My heart is burning for you. You are smokin! My heart is on fire for you. Etc... One might say so. I recently got my stamping area all cleaned for the first time in many many moons. I have been working very hard all this week to clutter it up. It doesn't seem that I can stamp properly in all of the cleanliness ! I have tried to put the things up as I have finished with them...even put the paper trimmings in the trash and run the vacuum...but I just cannot make myself put all the stamps away. What ever I put away I find myself getting back out within minutes. Are there others out there so afflicted ? My husband comes home (when the stamping area looks NORMAL) and tells me that it needs cleaning...that the general appearance will affect the way people think of me. TELL ME IT ISN'T SO ! Most of the box templates that I design do not work as well if they are enlarged, as I have designed in the template the average thickness of the paper, and so the edges won't line up as well if you enlarge very much.
