All were stamps they had in stock, so I received them in record time. Thanks to both Lynette at Dahlia Creations in Alaska and RubberStamped in California. (I was stuck in new-snow traffic after I picked these packages up at the post-office. I couldn't wait to get home to open them. Lynette, the chocolates saved my life on that dark, cold, winter day!) I have just a few store-bought cards left around. The ideas I've seen for "doctoring" store-bought cards are great! One thing I do have a stack of is stationery sets. I have several more formal looking ones I use for things like thank you notes after job interviews and such. I also have three or four I found in a store in Japantown when I was out in SF last year. I have a weakness for Japanese pop culture kitsch--Sanrio type stuff. I also love the "random Englsih for its own sake" that pops on on Japanese objects. I have one set of stationery with snowman on it that says "Snowman is funny" and "I am full of play-mind." I have another with a sun, moon, and star print that looks almost like an eraser carving...that one says "We can make much noise here." I like the little matched sets, and the envelopes that have flaps on the "short side" rather than the top, and the stickers that go with each set. I also have one set with a dog sitting (Sit!) rolling over (Koron!) and barking (Wan!Wan!). I like to use them mostly for longer notes or for enclosing notes inside a card I've made.
