Then she layerd the stamp image of a house/trees. She colored it very subtly with green and purplish and then finished it with the metallic rub on. Very pretty. The afghans are gorgeous. We gave one to Aimee and one to Anna Mae and they use them regularly. I received what I am going to assume is an anonymous birthday RAK (unless it was my SSS?)! It's a lovely card -- on green cs is a layered & edged piece of paper which has been stamped w/ a lacey background pattern. On top of this is a beautiful bouquet of mixed flowers (3-d) that are wrapped up in kraft paper (in the same fashion as they are when purchased from a florist). I _love_ this card, and, you know how it is -- I "must" have the back- ground stamp, as well as the floral bouquet stamp. The plus side to anonymous RAKs is in the pondering exactly who sent it. The downside is not knowing who to enquire of regarding origin of the stamps! Thank you very much! Please consider coming to the fore . Agape stamper (linda Israel) a beautiful card that is quite appropriate for Valentine's day. On white cardstock she layered it with a pink piece of paper cut out with decorative edges and using the words "From the heart" over and over again... I'm assuming you used your computer for the words- I need to learn how to make more use of my computer with my RS cards, especially if I can get my work to come out looking as lovely as yours! Then I think its called mulberry paper??? Not sure if that is the term for it, but its a lovely lavender color and then she has two scribble hearts layered on top of that. Did you just laminate the tops of them? Inside she used a Random Act of Kindness stamp.... one more thing to add to my shopping list! Thanks! Then from kalicoKathy (Kathleen McCaffrey) I got my very first look at housemouse designs. Oh my, those are cute stamps aren't they... better add those to my list, too! On blue card stock she used a stamp of two mice using lipstick- very adorable! Inside the mirror design she used glitter. On the top edge of the card she put a strip of lacy ribbon (Ok, so I suck at descriptions!)- then on the inside she cut out a piece of pink paper (using some sort of fancy edged scissors) and written on it is: Beauty is in the Eyes of the Beholder. Thanks so much for brightening my day! I found a dried up jar of something called "padding compound" when we were moving offices. It seems to be the stuff you can paint on the end of a stack of paper to make it a pad (the pink stuff). I vaguely recall using that in junior high print shop, and having a ton of fun. Pearl doesn't carry it. Has anyone ever seen it? Thanks W. It was so unexpected and tremendously appreciated. I have been having some frustrating days lately and this was such perfect timing. In the package they sent me a Stampers Sampler book ( I love all the great ideas), 5 stamped cards (what a variety of styles!), a Frame stencil ( I am really learning to love these. I have a couple of them.), a package of white translucent paper ( I am looking forward to using these), a masking sheet (ok this I could use some help with, I haven't really seen anything like this. Help!), some light sprinkle ep (I love playing with different kinds of ep and I really like the sparkle ones!), a stamp of psalm 37:4 in the shape of a heart (My mind is trying to think of a great occasion for this beautiful one), Ok I have to admit this last one is my favorite, it is a stamp of a Japanese lady. I have had three Japanese homestay students and stay in touch sith them and am collecting all kinds of Japanese things. THANKS again Merlene and Leona Tama This message was from Tama Clark - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
