It probably is embarassing to be questioned on where you have parked, but the reality is that there are lots of people who don't give a darn and park in handicapped parking. These are the same people who park in fire lanes because they are only going into the store for one item, like a newspaper or cigarettes. I usually try to mind my own business and park where I am suppose to...however I do see people all of the time that I doubt are the handicapped person, and are just using the spaces for themselves. My niece's husband was backed over by a dump truck when he was in his early twenties, after several surgeries and much therapy he is able to get around without much limping. However there are times that his leg is severely swollen and very painful...because he is male and young he gets questioned a lot....he never parks in handicapped except when he is dealing with a lot of pain. I thing those people who question the parkers are only trying to help and maybe the people who need to park in handicapped need to have a calm reasonable answer for those who question them. Thanks. I was anxious to see what I received in my first swap on list and VERY happy. Apparently received the exact same cards as Lori Croswell, I think she did a great job of describing them, but I want to ask a couple questions and make a comment or two: Glomom--I love layering and this is a great look! What is that brown "stuff" little angel is mounted on. She tore the paper around edges of stamped images. Really like that! In top l. corner is a gingham bow Ruth -tvlady@webtv.net--That Heart Door stamp is calling me!! What did you color it with--wonderful hue! What's on the hinges? Really a nice card--lots of work! Monica--This is pink, pretty and makes my heart happy to see. What's around the edge of striped heart ? Really shiny, glittery and pretty. Nice job of coloring! Could easily be adapted for a baby card--so delicate. Carole Mork--I NEED the stencil for that sampler!!! Really nice size divisions. Really nice stamping and embossing, and the teddy is jusy adorable--what's that ep? Michelle Bergh--LOTS of conversation hearts--I NEED these stamps, too. Can see I'm really in trouble here!. Nice job Michelle and so cute with the raised candies. No name on this one--Nice use of various papers, and the paper shreds are a neat touch. Mine is on a white doily. Hopefully it's warm where the cupid is--he's nekkid!! :) Clarice Ota--Came in a clear envy--see why everyone wants these!! That Love stamp is wonderful. The overall look of this is wonderful--bright reds, pinks, shiny, gold--lots of pizzazz here! I'm very impressed with the quality of every one of these cards. I would be happy to claim them for my own, and appreciate new ideas you've shown me. Thanks again to everyone, and Robin for hosting this. Can't wait to show these to DD! Little paw prints lead up to the door. A gold ribbon is glued to the top center of the card. The doors open up to reveal the inside of the card. Embossed in gold on the inside of the card is a bear holding a heart that says, "You're beary special"She made an envelope for her card out of wall paper. It goes with the card perfectly.Great card!!! Robin Cramer (missy@ctaz.com), the hostess sent a card. It begins with a Giant pink doily. A heart shaped pink cardtock card is glued to the doily. On top of the card is layered some rose background paper. Some pink crinkled streamers are next, and are held onto the card by a cupid riding a stork stamped and colored in on white cardstock. Inside the card is stamped in gold, "Happy Valentine's Day (Stamping Up) .Excellent!!!! Patty Tupper (c/o jjdemore@techline) She used a piece of white matte card to begin her card. She sponged some lavender onto the front. In the middle of the card is a jar (Stampin' Up). She cut out the jar top a second time, and put a piece of red gingham cloth sticking out from underneath it. Red rickrack is placed around the edge of the jar top to look like a ribbon. A little For You tag is placed on the jar. The bottom 1/2 inch of the card was cut off so you can see the back part of the card which has Happy Valentine's Day (Doubleday Book Club) stamped along the bottom. The jar is filled with red and pink hearts. I like the 3D look! GloMom- noaddress- She began with a piece of rose colored columns cardstock OVer this was layered a piece of pink marbled cs with fancy corners. A plaid ribbon is in the upper lefthand corner. Layered over the pink cardstock was a piece of pink corrugated lace paper, a pale pink corrugated paper with gold spots, and a piece of mulberry paper. On white cardstock, embossed in pink is an umbrella full of heart, and an angel with hearts. Inside the card is somemore of the pink cardstock with fancy corners and the words Be My Valentine embossed in pink. Very Elegant! Eileen deMars (fligmapoof@juno.com) She made a round card. What scissors did you use on the edge? I need some like that! On top of the red cardstock, Eileen layered some red homemade paper with gold strands and gold glitter in it. Over that is a piece of gold cardstock that has been corrugated. The cs is shaped kind of like a lightening bolt. Over this is a white heart of vellum that has been corrugated both ways. All this was tied on with a piece of red ribbon and a gold cord. Inside was embossed in white the sentiment "Love One Another" (Uhry's Temple Stamps). Love the card! From Michele Bergh(mbergh@isd.net) She made a pink card with white layed paper with candy hearts stamped all over it,,,Five of the candy hearts are in 3-d..Inside says Happy Valentine's Day no stamp credits given...Nice card!!! I mentioned this to my local store owner and she explained. Apparently, many of the RS manufacturers are now using "recycled" wood for their mounts. In other words, they're taking wood used in other products, returning it to pulp and then "pressing" it into mounts. JudiKins is one of the cos that is doing this. In fact, a stamp I bought from JudiKins last week had a sticker on it that says "Made from 92% post-consumer recycled wood." Thought you might wanna know. It was used to make dinner ware (perhaps the kind you might associate with camping but for general home use as well) and cookware including pots and utensils. Although produced in many color variations, the most common finish is a lapis-like blue with white speckles. You'll find a lot of this at antique stores although enamelware has gained new popularity over the last 10 years and can be found in new dishes and such. Although I've never seen the ep (in the store or on a stamped item), your descriptions sound like the product is meant to be embossed over any base color of ink. The white pieces suspended in clear ep would provide the enamelware look. Maybe the best use of the product is to make backgrounds or to be used with solid images. The effect would be very "country" to my mind. Hope this helps. Let us know if it does. > My enamel ware is actually *in* clear EP. That's why I bought it, 'cause I thought it was clear. But it leaves tiny bits of white (really looks like enamel) in the EP and it just looks weird.
