You can twist it around a toothpick or a shiskabob and it looks like a teeny tiny spring. It's thin enough when you pull one strand out to go through button openings or even small bead openings. Some Ideas on Uses As little streamers in shaker cards - sort of like the kind you would see during New years - since they are so many colors - you can put really small pieces and curl them and it would look similar to shaking streamers. Here are some ideas I've been given - some I remember who gave them to me & others I forgot - I apologize. If you know it was you who gave me the idea please let me know and I'll make sure you get credit for it. (Thanks) Stamperella - I used the fun wire to make lassos with. The yellow with the grey wound around it looked like rope to me. Great lassos! Impress of the Night - book binding Twist it around a toothpick or a shiskabob and it looks like a teeny tiny spring. Thread Jewelry With It. You can take several strands and twist them all different ways and makes very interesting looking abstracts. Tonya (I hope I'm right) suggested using the wire as handles for easter baskets on cards. Someone whos name escapes me (SORRY!) - suggested I tie it at the end of a balloon which I've done and it looks great - I've taken it one step further and tied it to a balloon and then tied it to a character and it looks like a kite. Kite Wires on Cards Tie it around a small bag (or large) and then curl it - fill with goodies and color cordinate. Nancie Wiley - God's Eye & Friendship Bracelets Amy - babegoose@aol.com - Great for flower stems on cards. Holly Holden - Great for springy doll hair on country sets. Joyce Tubbs - Coil around a small nail to make a curly telephone cord for a telephone card. I hope these ideas help you and if you come up with any let me know - I'll gladly add your name to the list. If you'd like more information e-mail me privately. You can get a free sample by including a SASE with a stamped card or an unmounted. I'll get it out as soon as I receive your request. If you'd like to trade I"ll send a large quantity out for $10.00 worth of any rubber related products you may have - unmounted, old stamps, brushes, embossing powders, etc., etc. Please include $3.00 shipping. I also started carrying a new wire that is much much thicker than this fun wire and only comes in primary colors - it's Called Baby Wire. If interested let me know. Also, it was just my opinion. I don't like getting taken advantage of by people. >> Tina..."jipped" means "ripping off" to me -- and to lots of other people. I think you have to use careful judgement when using words that have connotations like that. If someone said I jipped a customer... and I hadn't stolen anything... I'd be very disturbed and distraught... and probably quite vocal and aggressive in my denials and attempts to defend myself.... An opinion can quickly become fact in other people's minds.... Wendy, Of COURSE you're in my thoughts and prayers, and I just KNOW that the truth will prevail and justice will be served, and if that sounds cliched, then so be it...I can hardly believe that ANY other outcome but your gaining custody will happen, so be strong! As for your explanation...you went on about your ex-husband's accusations, and about how you've been there for your kids and how much better off they are than when you were together...my dear friend...I know you, and I believe that you've made yourself known on this list, and I for one did NOT need your justification of what a wonderful mother you are. Your personality speaks for itself. I'm sure it's tough because you feel that you have to justify your mothering skills to a court and to a judge, but Wendy - please know that HERE, among your RS family, you NEVER have to explain yourself...we have no doubts that your children are growing up in a loving, warm environment, filled with creativity and humor, and you should not have to feel like you've got explaining to do. Your kids are lucky to have you as a mom, and we are lucky to have you as a sister. Lots of luck and hugs to you today, Lissa - -- |\ __ | | |--| __ |/ | | |~' /|_ () () | //| \ |\ () | \|_ | | \ jgs \_|_/ () | | | @' () This message was from Lissa Albert - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. Carson St. (right across the parking lot from the convention) $74 single or double--$10 each additional person 310 830-9200 Holiday Inn - 19800 Vermont Ave, Torrance, (2 miles away) $65 single double occupancy--up to 4 people with no extra charge per person. Shuttle is free but must reserve when you check in. Reserve room under Rubber STamp convention 310 781-9100 Residence Inn - 370l Torrance Blvd., Torrance (5 miles away) across from Del Amo Fashion Mall Complimentary breakfast, weekday social hour, newspapers, outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi. Studio (l bedroom- full kitchen, fireplace - - 2 people $89. Studion with two double beds - 4 person, $99. Penthouse with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen, fireplace $125 per night. 310 543-4566 We have stayed at all of these places. Four of us stayed at Holiday Inn and it's under $20 per person per night -- free shuttle but had to pay a lot for food. The Hilton was not as nice, but it was convenient--for four people, it would be about $7 more per person than the Holiday Inn each per night - wouldn't need a shuttle Residence Inn prices have gone up....but it's still our favorite because we bring our family usually and the breakfast is free and saves us more than the added price. The rooms are beautiful, there are full kitchen facilities, and if there are four of you, it's the same price per night as the Hilton. Hope this helps someone....we always choose Residence Inn and if you need transportation to and from the convention from the Residence Inn--you are welcome to come....might have to let you in the convention early if you ride with us though.....wouldn't that be terrible. This is the mother of all conventions--hope to see you there.
