I have received a few questions, so I want to make the guidelines of this swap a little clearer. I didn't know what to name the swap to get across the one requirement...the use of handmade paper. I called it a Handmade Paper swap a few weeks ago and only got a couple sign ups because people thought we were swapping paper....and that you had to make it yourself. So, now you know....you MUST use handmade paper in this swap. Ok...here's the specifics again...and the names of those who have signed up so far. DUE DATE: March 23rd, 1998 THEME: Elegant Cards - MY definition of an elegant card is one that includes layers of decorative/exotic handmade paper. You don't have to make the paper yourself to be involved in the swap. You just have to put the paper to good use. :) WHAT WE'RE SWAPPING: X cards for X cards, how many you send is how many you get back. Just let me know what you plan on sending so I can let you know if there will be enough cards to swap with you. WHAT TO SEND: Your swap items, a self-addressed mailing label, and the same amount of postage it takes you to mail your cards. THE PRIZE: If you would like a chance at winning a prize, please send an extra card. I will post your card in my store and ask customers to vote on their favorite card. The three cards receiving the most votes will receive a prize. SEND TO: Shari Vogt Paper Arts Studio 534 D.W. I like doing cards that take some time and would never be able to do it if I had to make 60. (For example I made a quilt card like the ones in this month's Somerset Studio ... before it was in the mag!....but only sent two of them as they are very time consuming.) I would get *very* tired of cat stamping if I had to make 60 - or even 30!- a month. I'm still trying to reciprocate all the ones I got at Christmastime ... I think I still have 8 or 10 to go. If I ever get caught up I'll then start sending to people I have never sent to, but all my stamping right now is "thank you" for the ones who stamped to me. But 60 a month? 30 a month?
