So, be careful. I use one, sometimes. I have 2 other brands of heat guns I use, too. Depends on what I am doing. Be esp. careful if you are using one to emboss on vellum. It really is too hot for that. And the tip of the gun WILL burn you!! Hope this helps. Victoria, You sound like I did when I first joined. No, envys not needed but sometimes I get them in a swap. The cards I get w/ envys usually are suitable for use later. I sent envys with my first swap. I remember thinking "there is so much to remember to do: sign cards, credits for cards, postage and /or mailing label or envy and identify yourself." I now put one of my business cards in the envy when mailing. I just use a plastic sandwich bag for the cards if they fit ( sometimes quart bag) I put a return addy sticker for the mailing label. I keep all this near my stamping table. It gets eaiser as you do more swaps. Thank, KalicoKathy Psalm 139:1 "O Lord , you have searched me and you know me." I have two: Every single time a rat (the fat, wild kind--not the sleek pet kind) has crossed my path, something bad happens. They just feel evil to me. The first two times it happened (before I was superstitious about it), by the next morning, someone had broken into my car and stolen the battery! Then I was superstitious. The next time it happened. I stayed calm, but thought, "Okay, I'd better drive slower than usual the rest of the way home". No matter, I got in an accident anyway! The last time it happened, I got in another car accident....for seemingly no reason. We can't figure out why the car went out of control! I know, I know...it could be my subconscious fears taking over my driving ability, but isn't that a little bizarre? The second superstition isn't as strong. I don't start my 'new year' on January 1 (after all, that's my sister's birthday!), I start it on Dec. 7 (my birthday). If my birthday goes well, it seems like the rest of the year goes well. If my birthday goes badly, it seems like a harbinger of things to come! I'm fascinated by superstitions. I've studied some of the more common ones and how they came into being. Very interesting! I hope more people will answer this post! :-D awn Golden Sunrise Enterprises sunrise@wolfenet.com http://members.tripod.com/~Sunrise/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ QUOTE OF THE DAY You see a lot of smart guys with dumb women, but you hardly ever see a smart woman with a dumb guy. - Erica Jong ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This message was from Dawn - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
