Looks like you must have had fun painting those up.They will be fun to use and are in my fav color tones. The color box eye pad is a great color that I don't have anything similar to. Great choice. The poem is one of my favorites, nicely done. Thank you so much. Pretty tissue paper. What is the PEZ thing with the heart on an end for?? The little card with the roses is pretty. Do you like hedgehogs too?? I've got some of the Penny Black ones and am dying to get some of the new ones. I have to get her new catalog someday. The stamped up sheets are pretty and will be useful too! I love love love the knitted envy. What a GREAT idea. I'll have to try that sometime. what size needle did you use. I tried to think of something clever but drew a blank and used a really pretty calendar page. Love this!! The love stamp from Hero arts is really nice too. The little heart shaped pin is GREAT. What is that finish?? It is really nice and hard so I expect it is the new envirotex stuff. Love the bookmark. I have that set and can never think of anything to use it for. I enjoyed the hidden message card as well. There was some candy. All I can say now is that it was good. :) The magnet is a neat idea too. Where did you find those little metal plate things? Last but not least is the prettiest red embossing powder. Thanks so much for everything and for the special care you put into the package. And what are halos? > Inky-Lady@juno.com Hook And LOop System = HALOS Velcro is the most widely known brand-name of hook-and-loop fasteners. UM's on interchangeable mounts take up less space than a similar quantity of mounted stamps. Space can be as valuable as cash, sometimes. A friend and I just got a four sheets of dies from RedHead (two '98 Valentine samplers and two '97 Valentine samplers, as advertised in RSM) and each sheet has dozens of images. My share of the order was $17. A roll of double-sticky carpet tape is about $3-$4. A sheet of fun foam is under $1. (The thicker foam would be better, but I don't have KAI scissor yet. My regular scissors can handle fun foam.) *Anything* flat can be used for a mount. I can get 1/4-inch thick acrylic "cut-off" from TAP plastics scrap bin for 50-cents/piece. Other than labor, I've broken even with pre-mounted cost when I've used the first three medium-sized images. With HALOS the mounting expense would be somewhat higher, perhaps with a "break-even" after half a dozen medium-sized images. The time you spend on cushioning/trimming and applying HALOS or static cling or even tacky glue or loops of cellophane tape is valuable too, but, if you're using extra large mounts (4" x 6"), as I often do, you'll save a *lot* of fiddling and fussing with stamp positioners. Sometimes you'll be able to put several dies on the same mount, other times you'll be able to position the dies precisely on different mounts, but will *only* need to allign the mounts with the corner (and edges) of the cardstock. This savings in production time can be as valuable as cash, sometimes. UM's are more often gotten via mail order than over-the-counter. Some would count how much you'd save by not-traveling-to-the-stamp-store. I won't count this. I still go to the stamp store ... gotta say "hi", gotta thumb through the magazines, gotta leach ideas, gotta check out the stamps that *aren't* available via mail order. So I won't claim that I save in gasoline because I mail-roder UM's, however, UM's are less expensive to ship, with a single die being mailable in a regular envelope. Usually the cost of even a single UM + shipping is notably less than the cost of the same die "mounted" before shipping cost is added.
