Unfortunately, I haven't been able to take advantage of all of them that interested me because some vendors have never responded to my repeated inquiries. I have sent private e-mails to these vendors asking for additional information on ordering, shipping, or payment terms that were not covered in their posts. In these instances I was prepared to place an order. My questions remain unanswered. Am I missing something? Is it because I'm not a "regular" that my repeated e-mails are not returned? Do I need to do something I don't know about in order that my business is accepted? I've gone so far as to check that my message have been properly transmitted (and they have been). At this point, I probably won't place orders with these vendors should they ever reply. I would, however, appreciate any insight into this predicament. I don't blame you at all!! Customer service begins from the moment you inquire about an item, place an order, or otherwise e-mail a vendor for info. Personally, I make it a point to answer all e-mails the very same day. I also e-mail my customers when I receive payment, to inform them their order is coming. I, too, have placed an order recently and received no confirmation... in fact I had a question which makes it that I couldn't send my payment because I need to know the answer before I can send $$. So far, no answer... and I'm sure that by now, I don't *need* whatever it was that I ordered. We must also remember that sometimes e-mail doesn't get through or it gets deleted by accident. When DH tried to update the computer it crashed. I know I had ordered a stamp from someone and saved the e-mail , however it was gone along with 300 e-mails. Last thing I remember was telling the person I would get the money in the mail that day. Before I had a chance it was gone! I e-mailed both the lists two times (and then stopped for fear of getting hate mail) who I had placed an order with, and no one responded. What may help on the other end is to put the vendor/customer name in the subject line. I know sometimes I am a little too fast on the delete key and with Juno I still haven't figured out how to retrieve that deleted mail. I think it can be frustrating on both ends. Wondering if the person sees the e-mail, and also realizing sometimes that they are not getting through to you. There has been one instance where I got so frustrated I looked the person up in the snail mail and gave them a call! geevee if moose had wings, they'd be angels! so many stamps, so little time! g.v.'s custom creations-16802 village corner court-houston-texas-77059-5599 IN TEXAS-PLEASE ADD 7 1/4% TAX TO YOUR ORDERS - THANK YOU On Fri, 23 Jan 1998 22:56:04 EST FranRShaw@aol.com writes: >Hi Jen! > >I don't blame you at all!! Oh, I just had a thought. Wearing just the shirt could give a woman a rubberstamping shopping advantage. Imagine a woman shopping at Marlborough with her buttchecks hanging out all over the place. There would be so many people watching, laughing, rolling on the floor that nobody would be paying any attention to the rubberstamps. She'd have her choice of everything. ANYONE?? But, what my understanding was. If they didn't pay you, you could then take them to court and get a judgement against them. At that point it would be public knowledge. You could then discuss it amongst the list publically without getting into trouble at all because they have a legal debt which was placed on them by a court action. Believe me, if I could, I would love to mention names as we have a couple who are being stubborn and onry about paying as well. I am sure at first chance they will run our names through the mill but we can't do anything about it. Upsetting.
