With different inks? What you've described is a hybrid between "transluscent" and "transparent". If it won't take ink, consider it for background *over* another paper, and add foreground figures cut out and mounted on top with gluestick or whatever. Even hubby agrees with me, it's simply beautiful! Pale mauve cardstock layered with dark burgandy. A little gold angel embossed in gold on the burgandy, a little gold heart charm glued over a punched out heart hole so you can see the light mauve through it. Next is a large, what I thought, square of flowered wrapping paper off-set in the corner. Looking closer, I noticed that it is really a Bag/Box embossed with gold on the flowered paper & then cut out. Real cool, I wouldn't think to do this one! There's a medium-sized heart stamped & embossed with a real cool pattern in white? on a medium mauve CS cut out layered on the flowered bag and lastly PSX's beautifully scripted Happy Valentine's Day embossed in a very colorful Gold EP. I need a box like the one you used on the flowered paper. Where'd you find this one? Thanks so much Marsha! Now keep in mind, I'm not the world greatest artist or anything like that. But, I really enjoy doing portraits of people. Especially famous people. As a child I started doing portraits in 5th grade. In art class we were all peared up with a partner and told to draw the person we were paired up with. I was paired up with a girl named Susan. I drew her picture and she drew mine. The art teacher like my picture of Susan so much, he put it on display at the end of the hall way for every one in the school to see. Everyone loved it. Except for poor Susan. When she saw her picture in the hallway she yelled at me and said she hated me because her picture was in the hallway for everyone to see. I felt bad for Susan. But, Wow, What an honor it was for me to have my artwork displayed like that. So, Needless to say, That is when I desided that I was going to be an artist. Thank You Mr. Gaston. Well anyway. If you would like to take a look at a page that I put together with drawings that I have done of Stevie Nicks at: http://members.tripod.com/~scpstamp/index-300.html Let me know what you think. I was thinking that I might start doing other portraits of celebrities. Please feel free to throw some ideas my way. If I get enough request for the same person. I will do them and turn the finished peice into a rubber stamp. I was'nt sure if this post should be catagorised as an AD: because I kind of just want to share what I've been working on.
