play around with the technique shown in the Jan/Feb Somerset.  Boy, is
this fun stuff!  My MIL had some white shelf liner that didn't look like
much from the outside, but when you turned it over, it had all these
neat ridges/patterns in it.  First I took a light blue ink pad and
dabbed that on it, then took an orchid pink one and did the same.  Then
I used my 'northern lights' ep and sprinked it on and heated it up - -
WOW!  It looks like elegant ribbon!  I also found some of the light blue
shelf liner on sale at the hardware store, and put some darker blue and
magenta inks on it, used clear ep -this was so pretty, too!

Then, when I got the mail, Jhone Messinger had sent me a RAK, with some
samples of other kinds of shelf liner!  (Thanks, Jhone!) Perfect
timing!  So today I am going to play with those - she sent some tan
(which I think will work great with copper and gold eps), burgandy, and
some really different textured off-white samples.

Now...who was doing the swap using shelf liner?  I might just have to
join this one!

I've always tried to offer information and enjoyment for all who visit. This morning it seems, I am forced to make a decision. As I was adding more to the site (updated "gallery" pages and new "special projects", I discovered that I have reached the end of the space allotted to me under my personal web account (and that of my husband, I might add :( ). It seems I have two or possibly three choices open and I'd like a little feed-back from you as to which way I need to head. I can obtain an additional amount of space on one of the commercial "communities" that will allow me to continue for awhile. (10 megs worth) But this space can only be had by inserting advertising banners on each page, which I am abit reluctant to do. I've tried to keep RRSaPAP commercial and advertisement free AND easier to access without the animated stuff. I am especially leary since the advertisement here would have nothing to do with RSing. OR, I can start slashing the contents of my pages. Artwork is the most offensive, storagewise. I can make all the headers plain HTML instead of "pictures" and can reduce the size of all the graphics (scanned in cards, etc) in order to reduce the storage required. ( a temporary measure at best, I'm afraid, as this won't reduce the overall megabyte requirement by much)I could eliminate whole sections, but what do I cut out? The tutorials? The downloadable templates? The galleries? OR, I can solicit sponsors who would either supply additional webspace or funding for space through my own ISP. This would be in exchange for advertising banners on my site, similar to the first option above...only in this case I would look to the stamping community itself, re..stamp companies. What I need from you Rubbertown folk is suggestions, comments and whatever as to what you think the fate of Redstick's Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Page should be. Would you be reluctant to visit if there was advetising? Would you rather it be RS related ads? Or would you rather keep it AD free and lessen to scope of its content? YOU are the ones who use it....please let me know. Many thanks to all for the support and feedback you've given me in the past and hopefully in the future, too! As an opening business special, I would like to offer a grab bag of 75 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock for just $10.00 which includes priority shipping within the United States. This is truly beautiful cardstock. The grab bag includes four different neutrals (perfect for Easter or Spring cards). Included are white embossed leather, pebblestone, oyster flecks, and cottonwood. All of these are textured or have flecks or specks of a variety of neutral colors throughout the cardstock. These are not plain ho-hum papers - they are all quite beautiful. All are 80 lb. cardstock except the pebblestone which is 65 lb. I know that you will be taking a leap of faith by placing an order with me since I am a new vendor. That is why I am offering such a special price on this paper. All I ask is that you please give me a chance to show you what a wonderful vendor I will be for you. (By the way dh about died when I walked in with 9 cartons of paper. Personally I am in paper heaven!) Remember the grab bags are just $10.00 per 75 sheet grab bag including priority shipping! For things like tiles that are already in place or are too large for the oven, try another Pebeo product called Ceramic. This hard-surface paint dries to permanence and was created for surfaces such as ceramic tiles. If you can't find it locally, call The Happy Stamper in Denver.
