Anna - - ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Feb 1998 17:55:36 -0500 From: "John M. Nielsen" Subject: RubberTown: Bleeding Tissue Paper - Pushing the envelope After I found some latex gloves to cover my emerald green hands, I went back to the bleeding tissue technique on glossy card stock - I made some beautiful backgrounds by making "scrunchy rolls" of different coloured tissue paper, lining them up on my work surface, spritzing them lightly and then barely touching the cardstock to them. The I tried making a plaid pattern by crossing some of the colours over the others - pretty neat. Then I grabbed my Liquitex interference acrylic paints. I made a large cushion of tissue paper, spritzed it lightly, spread a few blobs of the paint around on the cushion of tissue paper and wiped it quickly over the cardstock - you must work very quickly because the acrylic paint dries almost instantly but the results are spectacular! Now I am going back to straigten out the tissue and try Redstick's trick of adhering it to freezer paper. This is my idea of fun - but I've used up all my tissue and most of my glossy cardstock - oh well - guess I'd better look up those rules of acquisition again and see if this is covered so I can get more cardstock and more tissue! The Bakers Dozen is only +ACQ-49 which includes the shipping and handling.- Now is the time for you to get your fix of one of the most awesome Rubberstamp Tools available, the Rollograph Wheel. For those of you not familiar with the Rollograph, this patented wonder consists of a handle - I prefer the self inking one - an ink cartridge which is interchangeable and comes in a variety of colors, and then of course ....THE WHEEL. The wheel fits into the handle and the stamp is adhered to these interchangeable wheels. There are over 200 wheel patterns+ACE- Rollographs are the PERFECT way to make: backgrounds for cards and projects - checkerboard, Aztec, flowers, balloons, messages and MORE+ACE- tissue paper, gift wrap gift cards, frames, notebooks, SCRAPBOOK PAGES+ACE- I am currently enamored with the Mexican border and of course +ACI-clover+ACI- which will decorate the packages going out for March.
