She sent 2 pins that were stamped and, colored and laminated and cut with the postage edge scissors. The 2 pins are a pair--Skim milk , with a skinny guy and whole milk with a very heavy guy. First, I started with a heavy piece of cardboard (I don't have any of the embossing tiles - what's the difference?) - I used my pigment pads and put some colors all over the cardboard, then embossed it. Then I put clear embossing pad all over, embossed again, then one more time. Then, while it was still hot, I stamped the image into it with black pigment ink. But I could not get a clear image - it seemed like I'd get about half of it to 'imprint', the other half would not, and would just smear. One thing I did find was that the UTEE seemed to work better than the Amazing Glaze, but....I like the look of the Amazing Glaze better - seemed more of an even finish. So - what am I doing wrong? I am going to try again with an image that is not as detailed - any other suggestions? And really, what is the difference between the embossing tiles and heavy cardboard? One of my favorite techniques is watercoloring on glossy paper. Stamp your image with the outliner or memories pad (waterproof), wait a few minutes to make sure they are dry. Then, you can either scribble your Marvy or Tombow in an acrylic paint holder, then use a wet paintbrush to apply your color. You can go as soft or bold in color as you want. Or, you can use your watercolor pencils - take your wet paintbrush and brush the tip of the pencil and then paint on your paper and voila!!! Beautiful results. I have mixed and matched these techniques on one item and the results are gorgeous!
