This week I finally got set up to make my own stamps. I want to thank everyone who has been so wonderful about taking a leap of faith on a new vendor and ordering cardstock grabbags from me. What I would like to offer now is a grabbag of unmounteds of my 1st plate of rubberstamps for $20.00 which includes shipping in the US. Add $1.00 shipping for Canada, Germany, Great Britain and Ireland. Add $2.00 shipping for Australia and New Zealand. Let me know if I left anyone out. There are a total of eighteen images that fill a 9" x 13" sheet. There are six large ones, 4 medium, 4 small, 2 word type and 2 tiny ums. The large stamps are all large enough to fill the front of a card. These include a frog on a lily pad, a bridge with a stream running underneath, a mountain scene, 2 hummingbirds with flowers, a beach scene with seashells, and a large basket of flowers. The medium stamps include an Indian girl feeding a bird, a boy bunny shyly giving a girl bunny flowers, a feather (like a writing quill), and a sign that says Honeybees Welcome. The small stamps are a cactus, a begging dog, a chick on an egg with a feather in his hat and a butterfly. The word stamps are Handstamped By: and Good Job! The tiny stamps are a bird in flight (perfect for adding to the sky of your card) and a postoid size frog on a lily pad. I accept checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. I would love to make a grabbag of ums for you or for your Tribe Buddy. By the way Creative Images is an angel company. If you have any questions you can e-mail me or feel free to give me a call at 316-364-8744. New Addy: Stamznstuf@aol.com - - ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 1 Mar 1998 15:08:01 EST From: STAMPNSTCH Subject: RubberTown: Tea Time Swap Received: Way Long! Hi Everyone, I just got my Tea Time Swap cards late yesterday and didn't have time to post until today. I got some wonderful cards and there is even a little "interest" story that goes along with one of them. 1. A big Thank You to Eva (our hostess with the mostest) for doing a great hostess job and for enclosing the laminated design "There are few hours in life more agreeable than afternoon tea." with a little teapot and stamped with a rainbow pad. That will soon become a magnet on the fridge! 2. From Fran Robertshaw (The Frantic Stamper) : A pink parchment card with the corners rounded. She stamped "a cup of kindness" from Stamps Happen on the front and then cut out the center square leaving just the words around the square. She black-embossed the same design on glossy cs and cut close around the outside edge of the square with decorative scissors, leaving off the words. She attached the design part inside the card so that it shows through the cut out square on front. She colored in the design with markers. This was such a great idea and I don't often think of using it--thanks Fran! BTW Fran, the answers to your questions about the cs on my card: the "yellow" linen cs is actually white and I colored it in with my Tria markers--I think you can find white linen cs. The red linen text weight is from Seattle Art in Seattle--but you can also get it from stationery stores. 3. From Patty Tupper: Light green card with part of a round white paper doily attached at the top. She silver-embossed the tea set from Stampin' Up! on another piece of cs and colored it with markers and cut it out and attached on top of the doily with the tea pot tilted to look like it was pouring out the tea into the cup. The verse from the same set was stamped in rose underneath the doily. 4. From Cathy Mitchell: Tan confetti card with "Let's Have Tea" from Paula Best stamped all of the front in two colors on an angle in an alternating pattern. She stamped "Hearty Cup of Tea" from Penny Black on a separate piece of cs (cream color) and colored it in with markers, using red glitter to make the 3 little hearts and one big heart stand out from the others. She used ripple scissors to cut around the edges and then attached to the middle of the card front. I really like these stamps and will have to look for them! Great card! 5. From Thea Boschma (Stamp-N-Nut): A very elegant card using a natural confetti card for the base, then I "think" a piece of flowered wrapping paper (beige with detailed, lined flowers in gold), then another piece of natural confetti cs with a rose tea cup embossed in sparkle gold and painted with I "think" pearlescent acrylics and 3-D crystal lacquer for the tea "liquid" in the top of the cup. The corners were cut with a decorative corner punch or scissors and it was then mounted on the decorative paper. There were holes punched in the top left corner of the top piece and going through all layers and then the metallic gold ribbon was tied on in a bow. On the inside was a verse "Special friends mean so much" embossed in the gold sparkle powder and she had attached a packet of Premium Peach tea (yum! yum!). A beautiful card! Thea, did you over-stamp the front image and emboss after coloring with the paints? 6. This is the one with a story: From Diana Stagg: A pink card for the base and stamped with the crinkle background stamp from Mostly Animals in a Royal Blue. Then she gold embossed the words from a stamp by Love You to Bits (Time to "catch up" with me...over the image.....and.....over a cup of tea!...under the image) without coloring in the picture on the stamp. On separate white cs she stamped a stack of tea cups in blue and colored in parts in blue and went over them in crystal lacquer for dimension. There are little violets on the rim of the big cup and she used crystal lacquer on the centers of them. She cut out the image and mounted it on the card with foam tape. Good job Diana!! The story is that Diana and I know each other and are clear across the country from each other--I'm in Seattle, WA and Diana is in AR (near my mom)! Out of 60 participants in this swap I just happened to get one of her cards. Eva didn't know that we know each other either--I didn't mention it. What are the chances of that happening?
