This week I finally got set up to make my own stamps. I want to thank everyone who has been so wonderful about taking a leap of faith on a new vendor and ordering cardstock grabbags from me. What I would like to offer now is a grabbag of unmounteds of my 1st plate of rubberstamps for $20.00 which includes shipping in the US. Add $1.00 shipping for Canada, Germany, Great Britain and Ireland. Add $2.00 shipping for Australia and New Zealand. Let me know if I left anyone out. There are a total of eighteen images that fill a 9" x 13" sheet. You can see the images at http://www.kans.com/~stamps/plate.htm On this sheet there are six large images, 4 medium, 4 small, 2 word type and 2 tiny ums. The large stamps are all large enough to fill the front of a card. These include a frog on a lily pad, a bridge with a stream running underneath, a mountain scene, 2 hummingbirds with flowers, a beach scene with seashells, and a large basket of flowers. The medium stamps include an Indian girl feeding a bird, a boy bunny shyly giving a girl bunny flowers, a feather (like a writing quill), and a sign that says Honeybees Welcome. The small stamps are a cactus, a begging dog, a chick on an egg with a feather in his hat and a butterfly. The word stamps are Handstamped By: and Good Job! The tiny stamps are a bird in flight (perfect for adding to the sky of your card) and a postoid size frog on a lily pad. I also sell HALOS and loop tape for those of you that use HALOS or are wanting to get a started set of HALOS. The images on this sheet of rubber will take about a yard of loop tape which is $5.99 per yard. If you order it with the UM Grabbag then there would be no additional shipping charges. I accept checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. By the way, Creative Images is an angel company. If you have any questions you can e-mail me or call me at (316) 364-8744. You can see through the mount so you can see exactly where you are stamping. You can also combine more than one stamp on a mount instead of stamping several individual images on a card. You put the loop side of the industrial strength Velcro on the back of the um. It has a sticky back so it is easy to put on. Then you just put the um on the acrylic mount and the Velcro holds it together. There are several people on the list that have expressed an interest but don't want to spend $20.00 for the starter kit of HALOS plus the $5.99 for the yard of loop tape and $15.00 for the Kai scissors without knowing they like the system first. So this got me to thinking that what people need is a trial kit that would be very inexpensive and still something useful if they find that HALOS aren't the way they want to go. So what I have to offer is a HALOS grabbag. It has a 1" x 1" acrylic mount with the hook tape already in the recessed grooves and 5 postage size ums that already have the industrial strength loop tape on them. All of this for $5.00 including shipping in U.S. Add $1.00 shipping to Canada and $2.00 shipping to Australia. The HALOS starter set does not have the 1" x 1" mount in it so if you decide you like the system there would be no duplication of mounts. The postage size ums include a dragon holding a heart, a blue bird getting ready to land, a butterfly in flight, a scarecrow in a frame looking at a sunflower, and a frog on a lily pad. For those of you that are already sold on the idea of HALOS I have a special for you too. Free shipping in U.S. when purchasing the HALOS starter set along with my UM Grabbag. You can see the image in my grabbag at http://www.kans.com/~stamps/plate.htm The HALOS starter set consists of four acrylic blocks. Sizes included are l.5" x l.5", 2" x 3.5", 2" x 6", and 3.5" x 4.5". Each set comes with 1/4 yd of 4" loop tape. The whole set of 4 and the tape is $20 (plus $3 shipping if purchased without the um grabbag). Additional tape is available for $5.99 per yard. A good pair of scissors is a must to cut through the rubber and industrial strength loop tape. KAI scissors are wonderful. They are actually scissors for trimming Bonsai trees. Stampers use them for cutting ums (unmounted rubber). They are very sharp and cut through rubber like it was butter. I sell the Kai scissors for $15.00 plus $1.00 shipping. Let me know if I can ever help you with anything! I accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and checks. I'm still slightly color impaired but I'll try my best. From Sherry Webster a beautiful rose colored card with 'LOVE' stamped on vellum and colored on the backside mounted in one corner and a ribbon bow and button in the opposite corner. Everything's blue and rose and white...very pretty. And LindaLoo sent a beautiful cream colored card with a copper embossed mommy and baby elephant and bamboo stalks layered on some really neat looking paper. It reminded me that I have a similar elephant stamp that I've never used so I got it out and I'm going to find some way to stamp it. Shel Billett sent a very nice collage with a green background paper, some green ivy stamped and layered on top and a wax seal a button and a postage stamp all in complimenting shades of green. And from KC Reshel a very cute rose and ribbon border stamped on white cardstock and watercolored (I think) very subtly in pinks, greens and blues. In the center is the message "Life without friends is like a garden without flowers"...very elegant. Thank you all so much for these new treasures. Book of the Month received You people are amazing. I love these BOTM swaps. Thanks Terri for another hosting job well done. Here's what I got: Diane Bruce - a travel-theme accordian-type of book. I've seen this method in Cover to Cover, it's an accordian fold within an accordian fold, but I've never actually had to opportunity to see one in person. I'm very impressed. Beautiful work. Nancy - Cover: cream handmade paper with flecks of silver. Decorated with crisscrossed gold novelty wire with glass seed bead. Interior: accordian folded xeroxed map with 2 travel quotes ink-jet printed in red across the pages. Great cover and I like the idea of photocopying a map then printing a saying on the map. Nice work. Creative. Patty - travel-theme journal. Lovely antique-like paper decorating the board covers. The first third of the journal has an entry entitled "The Journal of My Travels". The entry is accompanied by Brownies and travel theme images. The passage ends with "The tales I would tell when I came back", which invites the recipient to write their own travel tales in this journal. The page to begin your own passage is bookmarked with an attached ribbon. Inspirational. ??? - Secret Agent travel book. The mini folder contains a Top Secret mission tucked into the front inside cover, much like the mission assignments on GoldenEye for those who play the Nintendo game. Looks very official. A single signature of map paper is sewn to the cover, cryptically outlining destinations. Such imagination! Julie - A beautiful blue accordian folded book, with a collaged travel-theme cover and an amazing interior of the ocean with a mermaid sitting on a rock overseeing a masted ship, jumping dolphins and a loch ness monster. Swirling across the upper part of the pages in beautiful handwriting is "I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and sky...And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by...". Lovely. Terri - a unique mini-portfolio accordian book, it's folded so that it creates pockets. A tag is tucked into each pocket. The front of the tag is stamped with an antique image of a face with the focal point being the eyes, or just an eye, stamped in a sepia tone on a cream background. On the back of each are words: The eyes...are the...windows...of the soul. The cover is done in a beautiful deep butterscotch exotic paper with an antique eye image in the center, framed by a piece of black cardstock. The interior paper is the same black cardstock. The book is held together with chocolate brown ribbon. Beautiful and so artistic and creative. I want/need to thank two wonderful people for RAK'ing me at a time when something was needed. 1) Thanks to Jamie Schnirch for an absolutely beautiful card. It's simplicity is what caught me so much. Vellum only with a large flower embossed in gold on the front, corners rounded, and inside: Of all the blossoms in life's garden, friendship is the most fragrant" Very touching. Lovely card, Jamie. Thank yu so very much. 2) Thanks also to Tracey Kazimir for a totally different, and yet also much needed, RAK. Her's arrived in a bee box (one that I'm keeping for treasures) and is filled with a happy face ball and lots of goodies. The card that she enclosed says: a RAK from me to you! Stuff to keep your mouth busy while you stamp....and something to play with when you hit those creative blocks! Tracey....you are wonderful!!! Thank you so much. I don't know about everyone else, but these RAK's have come to mean so much to me. Life is so strange sometimes and can be so hectic. And it seems that just when we need something to pick us up....a card or little gift or smile arrives to chase away the bothers. I have been enjoying RAK'ing others more than I can tell you, and plan to do much more in the future, as I can. Just hope my RAK list arrives in the mail soon, as I know there were changes and birthdays and anniversaries added to the large list, but since mine arrived all jumbled, I had to ask for a snail mail copy. So for now, people are being RAK'd from me at random. have a great weekend everyone Claudia @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- LadyRose@ix.netcom.com POSTCARD interests: Lighthouses, angels maps, stadiums, kittens and recipes covered bridges, and lightning cards @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- Visit my homepage: http://www2.netcom.com/~ladyrose/ - - ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Mar 1998 13:26:53 EST From: RUFORGIVEN Subject: RubberTown: RS:Vellum/Pergamano Swap received I have to admit that I am just learning about Pergamano techniques...so I don't know how to adequately describe them!! So...with that in mind...Here is what I received: From Gerrie Eder: A really neat Tri-fold envelope card! It looks like she hand colored the vellum! Nice gold highlights around a flower and leaf design. Did you use a template? From Kesmith@remce.ehhs.cmich.edu: A seashore design stamped and colored on light blue fiber cardstock. This was overlayed with a piece of vellum attach to the card with a gold ribbon. Embossed on the vellum were two dolphins and the words "Thinking of you" From ????: A lovely teacup on thin vellum highlighted with gold and mounted on Celestial blue cardstock. From Kaye Lynne Ingold: A giftcard with "Happy Birthday" and flowers and some Perg perforations around the edges, done on vellum and mounted on blue linen cardstock with rub-on buffed edges. From Kate Hill:A really cool bookmark done on vellum with purple ribbon woven through. Please tell me how you made this!!! Thanks for hosting Robin.....and for the tip sheet!
