This offer is our way to introduce you to the quality of our line of stamps. Each of these grabbags is an entire sheet of rubber that is 9" x 13". Sheet #1 has 18 stamps including hummingbirds, a bridge over a stream, a mountain, sea shells and much more. Sheet #2 has 20 stamping including a Consider Yourself Raked stamp, dragons, frogs sitting on a log, a large parrot and a stream with a small waterfall. Most of the stamps on these sheets are large enough to fill the front of a card. You may see the images by clicking on http://www.kans.com/~stamps and go to the Sale Page. I would love to send one or both to you or this would make a perfect Tribe Buddy package. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, checks and money orders. Barbara Zachrel - barbara@kans.com Creative Images - http://www.kans.com/~stamps 1112 Neosho Burlington KS 66839 (316) 364-8744 - - ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 27 Mar 1998 07:56:19 -0600 From: "Barbara" Subject: RubberTown: COMM: HALOS Grabbag $5.00 Fellow Stampers, Halos are acrylic blocks with recessed grooves that have industrial strength Velcro hook tape in the grooves. You can see through the mount so you can see exactly where you are stamping. You can also combine more than one stamp on a mount instead of stamping several individual images on a card. You put the loop side of the industrial strength Velcro on the back of the um. It has a sticky back so it is easy to put on. Then you just put the um on the acrylic mount and the Velcro holds it together. There are several people on the list that have expressed an interest but don't want to spend $20.00 for the starter kit of HALOS plus the $5.99 for the yard of loop tape and $15.00 for the Kai scissors without knowing they like the system first. So this got me to thinking that what people need is a trial kit that would be very inexpensive and still something useful if they find that HALOS aren't the way they want to go. So what I have to offer is a HALOS grabbag. It has a 1" x 1" acrylic mount with the hook tape already in the recessed grooves and 5 postage size ums that already have the industrial strength loop tape on them. All of this for $5.00 including shipping in U.S. Add $1.00 shipping to Canada and $2.00 shipping to Australia. The HALOS starter set does not have the 1" x 1" mount in it so if you decide you like the system there would be no duplication of mounts. The postage size ums include a dragon holding a heart, a blue bird getting ready to land, a butterfly in flight, a scarecrow in a frame looking at a sunflower, and a frog on a lily pad. For those of you that are already sold on the idea of HALOS I have a special for you too. Free shipping in U.S. when purchasing the HALOS starter set along with my UM Grabbag. You can see the image in my grabbag at http://www.kans.com/~stamps/plate.htm The HALOS starter set consists of four acrylic blocks. Sizes included are l.5" x l.5", 2" x 3.5", 2" x 6", and 3.5" x 4.5". Each set comes with 1/4 yd of 4" loop tape. The whole set of 4 and the tape is $20 (plus $3 shipping if purchased without the um grabbag). Additional tape is available for $5.99 per yard. A good pair of scissors is a must to cut through the rubber and industrial strength loop tape. KAI scissors are wonderful. They are actually scissors for trimming Bonsai trees. Stampers use them for cutting ums (unmounted rubber). They are very sharp and cut through rubber like it was butter. I sell the Kai scissors for $15.00 plus $1.00 shipping. Let me know if I can ever help you with anything! I accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and checks. Thank you Kari for hosting this swap and allowing me to play. The cards are really neat. from DP - On blue cardstock, a sheet of striped gold paper crumpled and flattened and pasted down. On the upper left hand corner of the card is a torn map of the Dallas metro area with a small raffia bow and silk rosebud glued on top of it. In the upper right area of the card is a square of wire mesh and a small postoid (postoidish?) square with a beach and a pail and shovel. There is a wooden knob like a handle glued to the lower middle of the card, with teh words "Summer Vacation" written on the cardstock along and underneath the gold paper. from Stampaline - A postcard on brownish cardstock with little flecks of red and brown in it. The four corners all are stamped with with a cool corner stamp. A map of the USSR has been attached to the card with a large airplane, a map and passport and cancellation wave stamped over it. A square postoid was stamped on cream paper and colored and cut out, then attached to the card. I want to know where the aiplane stamp is from, I love it! from Lucy Larson - The card is inside a clear envelope, on a mottled olive cardstock. The front view of an oceanliner is stamped in blue and green several times across the front of the card. A globe spinning is stamped in rainbow colors. And a yellow spiral star is also stamped several times scattered on the card. The words "Sailing roound the world in a dirty gondola oh, to be back in the land of Coca-Cola! Bob Dylan" are stamped in black in the center of the bottom third. A Coke bottle is stamped on a pinkish piece of paper and embossed in black, then cut out and attached to the card. SO that's what some of the clear envelopes are like. Nifty. from Michelle Billett - A postcard, on a brown cardstock. There are 5 Toad Hall postoids stamped in black on the card. In the bottom right hand corner is a suitcase with stickers on it, stamped in black, cut out and colored. There are 6 different international canceled stamps attached to the card. One from canada with the head of a fishing spear on it, one from Turkey, with a man at an anvil and a dog, one from Norway with a heraldic lion on it, one from Japan with numbers and a cartoonish character in the middle of it, one from somewhere with a stylized family on it, and one from Indo-China, with a person's face on it. I like the combination of it. from BLMARUBBRO - On a tan textured cardstock, is a part of a map of Alabama, cut in an octagon with the diagonal sides edged fancy and the square sides straight. The words "miss you..." are stamped in green in the upper left corner. A canceled stamp, Magyar Posta, with a sailboat and some high rises on it is in the lower right corner of the card, overlaying the map. A really nice layout. I haven't really tried to do any collage work before, and I was rather intim- idated when I first signed up for the swap. I'm much more likely to try this again. Thanks Kari! When you reply to a message, do you include the original message? Maybe try replying again, and copy the "KEY" line and make sure it is in the message as you reply? Could you possible tell me exzctly which PSX bear that is? He is just too adorable. For the rest of you. It's a sad, but cute, teddy bear stamped on a brown speckled cs. This is layered onto a purple cardstock with a splattered paint look to it (black, white, and gold). And this was finalyy put on top of soem more brown cs. And as the message on the card says, it is just for me. Thank you. Monica A.
