I hosted one several years ago, (well, I actually hosted lots LOL!) but one in particular, by the same name stands out in my memory and it was *FABULOUS*! My all time favorite swap! Can you picture... A burgundy card from fancy deeply textured cardstock, layered with burgundy feathers, and irridiscent deep mauve butterflies? How about a black glossy card stock card, with black irridiscent EP bird, black fabric, gourmet black textured papers and raffia? Maybe Green's your thing? Well, picture a spinner card with a georgous green dragonfly over a shades of green stamped leaves background. For blue, picture a serene antique sailing ship, with corrugated layers and ribbon. Shades of white are always beautiful when you consider white marbled paper, hand cast shells and antique ribbons.... Recognize these cards? Well these are some of my all time favorite swap cards from the first edition of the Monochromatic Theme Swap. :) If there's enough interest I'd like to hostess round II of the Monochromatic Theme swap. Only rule, is that anything you use on your card, must fulfill a monochromatic theme... papers, ink, layering items, EP, embellishments etc.... SWAP: Monochromatic Theme Swap II HOST: The Cottage Stamper (aka Juliet Page) julepage@access.digex.net ITEMS: 5 FOR 5 (multiple sets up to the max # players accepted) DETAILS: Cards or postcards fulfilling a monochromatic theme. And just a bit about how I tend to my hostessing duties: When I host a swap, I'm always a player, so extra cards aren't necessarry. :) I also return a surprise for *EARLY* swappers. Early is defined as cards in my mailbox *before* the postmark date... which BTW, is the last day of classes this semester. :) I can't think of a more perfect ending for the school year. :) I generally give cards 1 week after the postmark date to arrive, then I do the swapping and return them in the mail the following Monday. I do recycle envelopes, so only the label is necessarry. I send e-mail acknowledgements when cards arrive at my home, and I'll post once or twice a week an updated swap notie, with receipt status. I tend to keep people informed... anally so. Please include at minimum your e-mail address on the backs of your cards. If you'd like to include stamp credits too that would also be most welcome. HI all,
I want to let you know that I am indeed still in business. Just totally overwhelmed with a move that never seems to end and a family crisis that has come up very unexpectedly. It's something that my 2 sisters and I have to resolved about our parents and it is not going smoothly. It's taken it's toll on me.

Laura, I've not seen any emails from you, but I think I have tried to return your call, according to my notes and haven't gotten any answer. Perhaps I wrote the number down wrong.

Anyway, things should be pretty much back to normal now. I've gotten the manufacturing set up and rolling again, the office is so that I can find myself, the phone company has quit tinkering with my phone lines.

If anyone else has been trying to contact me and not gotten a response in the last 2 days, please try again. As far as I know, as of Wed at 4pm est, I have responded to all emails and phone messages. So if you're still waiting, I don't know about you for some reason.

Thanks for bearing with me. I will never again try to move a business and home with just me and my husband to do it all.  never, ever.

How is it different from >regular >EP? Tracey, I saw this demoed at our stamp club meeting (which met at geevee's house last Friday!) and I must say, I was extremely impressed. Gail (or was it Cheryl?) tried out the white detailed EP on a dark cardstock using a house mouse stamp... and all I can say is WOW!! you could see every detail and it was very white. I loved it, and am buying every color they offer. I have the detail gold and silver from PSX, but I wasn't overly impressed with them, but I am this. Detail EP is a much finer grind of powder, and is supposed to work better on a detailed stamp (one with lots of fine lines). I would say this is very true of the Art Institute EP!!
