From: "Robert Elden Wilson" Subject: (TrekChat) Star Trek Universe cards Date: 01 Apr 1998 20:15:35 -0500 Archive and Unsubscribe information can be found at the bottom of this message. -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- I had a couple of free hours this evening, so I entered my Star Trek universe cards (those 8x10 cards) into a database--all 160 of them. The list is posted at: http://www.ncinter.net/~rewilson/Universe.html It has NO frills. I'd be curious to know if anyone has DIFFERENT cards than these. From the conversation last week, I think no one has more than a total of 160 cards--but do we all have the SAME 160 cards. I'll try to update the list as new cards arrive. If anyone finds any other lists (especially a list of yet-to-be-released cards), then feel free to let me know the details. - --Bob (^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^) ) Robert Elden Wilson, M.D., Ph.D. "Personal Brain ( ( -------------------------------- Care Specialist" ) ) Email: rewilson@ncinter.net ( ( FTP: ftp.ncinter.net/home/rewilson ) ) WWW: http://www.ncinter.net/~rewilson/ ( ( PGP Key: FTP, WWW, or finger -l rewilson@pepper.ncinter.net ) ) Address: Saint Vincent Health Center, Erie, PA 16544 ( (______________________________________________________________) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.3i Charset: noconv Comment: Processed by PGPClick 3.0 iQCVAwUBNSLms5ekfJOFWb8JAQHTXgP/U87IkwqoBqJ2iNy8Lcd9dUo8HpG99Vwm ox5DhBwZ/dGvQe8TEXMPokbqmVvLal7SQLWmzXMBH+zJNyHcMCHpDK1N+dIkk6Ov CxYCprw0pv4oSQKQAHlEo1mQTwKymgi9v4dlpLyCN/WKAsNYdx//bAcyhQ6yEXPt ffB05odIdJ4= =n2n1 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- To Unsubscribe from TrekChat send and put "unsubscribe trekchat" in the body without the quotes. -- Previous message archives are available via WWW at: or via FTP at: ftp.xmission.com --in-- /home/ftp/pub/lists/trekchat/archive ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Vince Maiocco Subject: Re: (TrekChat) Star Trek Universe cards Date: 01 Apr 1998 23:43:46 -0500 Archive and Unsubscribe information can be found at the bottom of this message. -- At 08:15 PM 4/1/98 -0500, Doctor Bob wrote: >From the conversation last week, I think no one has more >than a total of 160 cards--but do we all have the SAME 160 cards. The only chase cards in that set were H1/H2. There was also Series 2 with an H3/H4. The language cards and the 4 holo's + mail-in-holo are from the 1992 Impel/Skybox Next Generation Inaugural set. Refering back to the H2 he is trying to sell for $250... the guy should be thrown in the insane asylum. NSU lists those at only $15/ea. He obviously isn't a card collector and has no idea what he's talking about. I don't know what the insertion rate was on those, but it wasn't what he said. Unfortunately they didn't mention the insertion rate on the box or the wrapper. I "think" it was more like one in every 3 or 4 boxes. I opened like 3 boxes of each and didn't get any holo's, but the series was way over produced and you can pick up boxes all the time for around $10-15. -J!m mailto:encore@xmission.com To Unsubscribe from TrekChat send and put "unsubscribe trekchat" in the body without the quotes. -- Previous message archives are available via WWW at: or via FTP at: ftp.xmission.com --in-- /home/ftp/pub/lists/trekchat/archive ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "C. Well, I'd use photoshop 4.0, but there MUSTbe less complicated utilities out there (remember the resolution only has to be 72 dpi for the WWW). Also, I could scan the desired portions of the original pictures, if you have them. I charge $1/scan and $1 to crop or perform minor tweaks on graphics. More extensive work (like color correction or gradient fills, putting your head on Worf's body - stuff like that) is a little higher. If I can help, lemme know. Star Trek 'G-Oh!s' Where No Trekker Has Gone Before Star Trek(TM) has never voyaged down the American cereal aisle, but Quaker's Oh!s(R) cereal is about to change that. In partnership with Viacom Consumer Products, the licensing division of Paramount Pictures, and Tribal Dreams, a division of Interplay Productions, Quaker Oh!s(R) will be issuing a limited edition box that will be featuring cutting edge graphics and screen shots from Tribal Dreams upcoming game -- Star Trek(TM): Secret of Vulcan Fury. The box will also feature an instant win sweepstakes where participants can win prizes, including a copy of the new game, Star Trek(TM): Secret of Vulcan Fury, a trip for two to Hollywood to visit a real Star Trek(TM) set at Paramount Studios or a Gateway 2000 Pentium personal computer. A $10 Rebate offer good for Interplay's Star Trek(TM) personal computer titles Star Fleet Academy(TM) or Star Trek(TM): Secret of Vulcan Fury is also featured on the limited edition Quaker Oh!s(R) cereal box. Dan Madsen, publisher of the Star Trek(TM) Communicator and president of the official Star Trek(TM) Fan Club, noted that he has never seen a promotion like this one since the club became licensed in 1979. "This is a neat idea," he said. "It will be greeted with much excitement and enthusiasm. It's another step in expanding the fantasy and making Star Trek(TM) real for consumers." The two-month promotion, which begins in April 1998, precedes the greatly anticipated Fall release of Interplay's new graphic adventure game -- Star Trek(TM): Secret of Vulcan Fury. Fans of the ever popular Star Trek(TM) as well as computer gamers will be interested to know that Captain Kirk(TM), Spock(TM) and the crew of the legendary U.S.S. Enterprise(TM) are coming back for seven more episodes penned by D.C. Fontana, the writer of a number of classic Star Trek(TM) episodes. The new game features cutting edge digital character animation and is completely 3-D rendered with voice-acting from the original television series' cast. As a special early incentive to participate, consumers can increase their chances to win by solving a riddle that draws attention to the specially packaged, collectable cereal box. A special toll-free number (888-320-5887) has been established to receive the first 1,000 callers with the right answer. They will receive a free box of Quaker Oh!s cereal and another chance to win in the sweepstakes. The riddle, which is related to the box, reads: Oh!s Cereal Promotion Riddle "If you're in a hurry and don't look at "Oh!s" You'll miss Vulcan Fury at the end of your nose. For on this cool cereal box hidden within are two things that increase your chances to win. Find them and tell us what's on the box Only one hint They're not yours; they're Spock's." The emboss was done by Skybox but we don't know from what, perhaps a show they sponsored???? Anyway, I own a near complete set of TOS CG crew cards (minus Nome and Kelley, sadly) and when offered these, I sorta hesitated a bit, do you suppose the embossed stamp makes it a 'unique' card in it's own right?
