It is located in Southern Utah in Angel Canyon near Kanab. It is home to domestic animals who were once homeless, abused or neglected. A host of wildlife also find sanctuary there. There are always at least 1,800 dogs, cats, horses and other animals on 3,000 acres of serene red rock land. Here they live "happily ever after" or are adopted by good humane parents. Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. They have their own website at http://www.bestfriends.org/ . They have an annual fund-raiser all over the nation. In Utah, they will present the 5th Annual Strut Your Mutt (presented by Best Friends Animal Sanctuary) is on Mary 13, 2000 at Liberty Park / Trolley Square. There is a website dedicated to this event at http://www.strutyourmutt.org. As a very committed animal lover, I've decided to join this year and participate with my dog, Mulberry, to raise funds for Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. There is a leisurely 2 mile walk we will do for you. If you are an animal lover or have a cat or dog at home, will you help me raise funds for this very worthy cause? Please do consider pledging by sending me a few dollars by May 5th. Please include your name and full address with the money. My address is 1115 East Sunnyside Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102-3725. 100% of the money goes to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
