From: Bruce Boyes Subject: List activity - shall it continue? Date: 09 Jan 2002 15:01:01 -0700 Is there interest in continuing the UGAA mail list? We are being asked by Xmission, who hosts the list for us as a free service. One option is moving the list to a yahoo egroup. The advantage is we could then attach photos, have polls, etc. The disadvantage is that maybe at any future time yahoo might decide to divest themselves of egroups and we'd be back to square one. Opinions welcome. - Bruce Boyes ugaa listmaster ------- WWW.SYSTRONIX.COM ---------- Real embedded Java and much more High speed 8051 systems +1-801-534-1017 Salt Lake City, USA - To unsubscribe to ugaa_list, send an email to "majordomo@xmission.com" with "unsubscribe ugaa_list" in the body of the message. I know there is a list and I had signed on to it, but I didn't think anyone used it and I didn't know that it was connected to Xmission. Perhaps the board knows more about this than I do. I wonder if anyone ever looks at it. What is the advantage of it? Fill me in. Did you find out if Xmission received the check? I have not been able to get Edith yet. She is working today and I will call her tonight. It slipped my mind last night. Sorry. It works very much like the bulk e-mail you send out to the membership e-mail list. -tom MANWARINGB@aol.com writes: >Bruce -- How does the list work? These types of mailing lists can be very useful towards efficient communication between list members. As a matter of fact, I'm a bit surprised that this list hasn't gotten at least a little bit of activity concerning the Olympics TFRs. -tom ugaa_list@lists.xmission.com writes: >Is there interest in continuing the UGAA mail list? Date: 09 Jan 2002 16:15:59 -0700 I rarely post to the list, but I very much enjoy the occasional information that comes over it. It lets me know about airstrips I haven't been to and information that I should know about that I might not otherwise hear. I say keep the list going!
