And to the individual who posted earlier in the week about the "get well" clap, well, that is usually given when the injured player is taken OFF the ice, as it was Saturday night, but not when the stretcher is brought out onto the ice, again, as it was Saturday night. A huge embarassment for any Utah Grizzly hockey fan!! I can't apologize for something I didn't & wouldn't do, but it is sad to hear how you were treated. However, how can you defend the actions of the Ice Dogs by stating in your post that, "Boxy and the Ice Dogs felt they could not just get beat on like that and not try to get some back", when you clearly can not deny that your boys instigated the whole situation by taking some cheap shots themselves out of frustration because they had just lost a game late in the 3rd period, effectively bringing the beating on themselves. What's done is done, but please, I personally have had enough smoke blown up my behind by Van Boxmeer's pompous, feeble attempts at defending his moronic actions about this incident, as well as McCammon's lip service for his moronic rationale for the suspensions/fines. I guess Matteucci's glad there wasn't video to review to justify an "intent to injure" suspension when he speared, and then attempted to spear Dineen a second time. But oh yeah, there wasn't video to review Vukota's "sucker punch" either, was there. Enjoy the rest of the season, John, & I truly hope your treated a heck of a lot better if & when you come back. Has anybody else notice that the only thing he wears that represents that he's a Grizz right now and not playing for the SL Blues is his actual jersey. Even his shorts are blue. I understand that when we have goalies like him that are with NHL teams then a lot of the times they will have helmets and pads that match the NHL colors, but the SHORTS? I can't help but feel a little like he is in denial about playing down in the IHL, and that's his protest of the situation.
