My personal reason for not writing as much as I used to is that my job has changed dramatically and I just don't have time. It's not an issue of not caring. I'm not as concerned about the move because I think we're getting something better in return. If it would have been Erskine getting sent elsewhere I'd be upset. Though I'm not a fan of fighting, I like the scrappiness of this guy. I do agree with your Sabre and Avalanche comments ;-) Kristi "couldn't pay me enough to be an Avalanche fan" >>> dropthemitts@yahoo.com 11/02/2000 9:33:14 AM >>> Well personally I think is a good move, Tory has been downright awful this season, although from what I have heard, he is always been a slow starter. Jackman is supposedly a great talent (ie, questionable work ethic) so it may be a wash. MY POINT IS THIS, it seems like the people on this list don't care sometimes. Discussions range from parties to everything else not including the team. It seems apparent that there has been no real emotional attachement with this team by fans. I don't know if there are people who are bitter sabre Fans (the goal counted and there is precedent to back it up, so get over it), Avalanche fans (say what you want about Eddie, but he was just drunk, he wasn't arrested for domestic violence like Roy, who IS NOT the greatest goalie of all-time, maybe, MAYBE top 5), or whatever else. This is supposed to be a hockey list, but no one seens to talk hockey. Maybe all we like sheep have gone astray. Maybe everyone got spooked off onto the other Frank's list (cause he couldn't take a discussion that he didn't agree with or something). I don't know. I just feel like there is a case of apathy going around here. just my own personal, Tony - --- "R. John Madsen" wrote: > >>> Anthony Benedetto > 11/02/00 08:43AM > OK, let me get this straight. John, Actually, it is generall agreed upon the office that this is the best schedule we have ever had since the Grizz moved to Utah. If you remember, last season we played only 6 games in the first 33 days of the season. At least we reached 10 games in October for a change As far as a conspiracy goes, no (although we always love tothink so here in Utah). The amont of games increasing later in the season is a league wide thing. Everyone wants to play after Christmas when people have more disposable income. Would it be fun to have more games earlier in the year, yes and no. I am sure you fans would like it...not me. I already have another team (the Freezz) to deal with and they won't be done until probably December. There of us here who are already buring the candle at both ends with the two teams, add more games and it could get really nuts. Matthew >>> "R. What does this mean? It means that there's only 2 games I can make it to this season, the two Sunday games. I can't even get the game on the web broadcast at work. I may start taking a radio in with me and see if I can get the game in the office. This brings up another thing... I need help (or need to know how much to bribe someone in the Grizz office). I need someone to get me the cards this year if possible, since I won't be able to make it to the games. Anyone that is willing? I'd also ask someone to get me the Bammer Bear too, but I'm already planning on taking that night off work for that purpose. February 17, right Matthew? Anyway...
