Am I the only one who feels like it's been forever = since a Grizzlies game?  I guess I'm just an addict who needs a = fix, but I'm not even talking about HOME games, just anything, radio, = whatever.

I just looked at the schedule and I guess it's just = been since Sunday afternoon.  Feels longer.  Then after = Saturday night we wait another 5 days until Friday night again.  = Weird.

Speaking of the schedule - anyone know why we have so = few games in November?  It can't be because of Thanksgiving, = because we have home games the Wednesday before and the Friday after = [which conflicts with the BYU / Utah game, by the way - oh = well.]

I know that Mouser wanted more home dates AFTER = Christmas, but does anyone else find the following breakdown somewhat = peculiar?

October  4 HOME 6 ROAD  total:  10 = GAMES
November 5 HOME 5 ROAD  total:  10 = GAMES
December  8 HOME 7 ROAD  total:  15 = GAMES
January   8 HOME 7 ROAD  total:  = 15 GAMES  - Plus All-Star Break
February 6 HOME 6 ROAD  total:  12 = GAMES
March      5 HOME 10 = ROAD  total:  15 GAMES
April        5 = HOME 0 ROAD  total:   5 GAMES  (only half the = month)

I'm certainly not trying to find a conspiracy - I = just wonder why so few games in October / November?  Is that IHL = wide, or is it just the Grizzlies?

- John

However I understand what they go through with producing TV games and it is VERY difficult and expensive to produce a road game. I would think that they might be able to sell more advertising for road games to cover this because they would be able to predict a larger market share of viewers. (At least the 7,000 of us that go to games regularly) You might try the regional Fox channels if they are available through your satellite provider. I've been able to pick up a few on the regionals. For instance, the Vipers games are on Fox Detroit frequently so sometimes I catch the Grizz playing there. The Solar Bears are on the sunshine network sometimes too. - -- Mike Austin Field Engineer Vela Broadcast aka Austintatious "Keep Your Stick On The Ice" [ To quit the utah-grizzlies mailing list, send to majordomo@xmission.com ] [ the command "unsubscribe utah-grizzlies" (don't include the quotes) ] ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 07 Nov 2000 19:36:39 MST From: "Kerry Sundahl" Subject: Re: [UG] tv schedule (sucks more!)
