The attendance looks great! It looks like we will have an all Catalina Fleet, an all Ranger fleet, an all Olson Fleet and maybe an all Capri fleet. This does not eliminate anyone from racing. For boats that do not have enough for a fleet we will have an overall award and probably an open fleet. The turnout for the dinner looks awsome. I have received numerous rsvp's. But for those who plan to attend but have not rsvp'd, I would appreciate if you could. I am just trying to plan the amount of turkeys to bring. I would hate to end up short. For those who have rsvp'd by email or phone, you do not need to repeat this. I have received them and counted them in the total. Remember, this is all free but if you could bring a side dish it would be appreciated. If weather is poor for racing we will still be doing the dinner. rsvp at dshearer@gslyc.org or 261-0300 Thanks Dave * Please visit the Utah Sailing Message Board: * http://pub63.ezboard.com/butahsailing * To unsubscribe send email to majordomo@lists.xmission.com with * the one line body of "unsubscribe utah-sailing" (no quotes). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Dave Shearer" Subject: (utah-sailing) Turkey Cup (Spinnakers???) We are now looking at over 20 boats participating and quite a crowd of people. We are now looking at potential fleets of: Catalina, Capri, Ranger, Olson, Catamarans and an open fleet At this point we have enough people planning to attend that I will be bringing 5 turkeys. I am reminding those, who can bring a side dish, to please do so. Do not plan on having to feed everyone. Hopefully enough people will bring a combination of food that all will be accomodated and it will be a great feast. Remember, Skippers meeting at 10:30 am with the start at 12:00 noon. The monohulls will be starting at J mark and will race 3 to 4 miles. The catamarans will start at J mark and will hopefully race a few races. Dinner to follow racing. I hope to have turkeys already cooking while boats arrive back to the marina. The weather forcast looks nice with temps in the low 50's and partly cloudy skies. Hope to see you there. Could someone please send information regarding what the results of the GSLYC voting was. Who is doing what and running what programs next year. I have some of it in my memory but the rest leaked out somehow. Thank you in advance. Heidi P.S. If anyone goes out sailing this winter season, keep me in mind for willing crew and quiet company. __________________________________________________________________ The NEW Netscape 7.0 browser is now available.
