They both have identical number scores with only firsts and seconds after throw-outs. The winner would be Euphoria. I'll look into the rules completely later. As for the tie between Crew X and Getaway, Crew X has a better record for races they races but Getaway has raced more races. Again I will look at the rules for the correct way to break this tie. Special kudos go to the men of "Salty Air". They raced almost every race and learned a lot. Their sail handling and knowlege has greatly improved. It goes to show you what perserverance does for you. Keep sailing guys! I would also like to thank all of the participants for their support of the club and the racing program. It was a good series and I had fun watching. It was a great help. We were able to remove a great deal of the problem rocks. These volunteers were in the water a long time and worked hard in removing these rocks. We all owe them our thanks. Hopefully the plow-dredging is making a difference. Yet the lake has dropped significantly in August. Many of us must face the fact that we are now trapped in the marina until spring and must hope for a very wet winter. For one that owns two boats in the marina, I would love to have to shovel snow off both boats every night this winter (well, maybe 3 nights a week). But there are a couple more rocks in the mouth that need to still be removed to widen the mouth to a safe distance. This Sunday is probably our last oportunity. I know it is a holiday weekend but if I could get a couple volunteers that are willing to dive to help remove these rocks, I would appreciate it. We will not make a full day this time. I would only anticipate an hour to 1 1/2 hours of work. Please let me know. Because of the low lake level and the reach for the crane I have to bring larger cranes out. This is getting expensive. Because of this I am trying to only do one more crane this year. This will be the October 15th date. If you are even thinking of pulling at all this year please plan on this date. And keep in mind that "Dionysis" ran aground several times trying to get to the crane-out spot. The more boats that pull the cheaper the crane is. Please call me at 261-0300 or 209-9142 or email me for reservations.
