He performed a show full of scandal, decadence and marvelous surprizes infront of 4000 spectators. The songs: Intro ("Farewell" from Blade Runner) Love Train Americanos Relax Two Tribes The Power of Love Legendary Clidren (all of them Queer) Relax Holly was wearing the glamorous costume of the "Atomic City" Video. The show was acompanied by a lot of expensive special-effects: Holly got carried on stage sitting on a throne. There were 3 crosses on stage with 3 actors bodypainted as Jesus & Co, playing the Reserection during "Two Tribes". During the "Power of Love" 3 Firespitting-Angels inflamed a 2 meter high Heart (`with tungues of fire...) Holly giuded a "scary" Tiger (actor full of bodypaint) on a Line during "Relax" and gave the line to the audience. Every song was acompanied by special-effects of this kind. Holly is in excellent singing- and dancing-shape, which he also proved after the show downstairs on the danceflour of the "Catacombs". It was one of the most exciting shows, I ve ever seen of Mr. Johnson. We re looking forward to the next surprize of "holy" Holly! Aon left ZTT after just 1 album - Who is Afraid of the art of noise (I'm not including into battle! and at the same time, Trevor Horn and Pul Morley left the group... China Records handled all the rest, from the "Legs" single onwards, but ZTT later brought out the retrospective 'daft' CD after the bend left the label. A year or three ago, JJ and Anne (the last remaning members, Gary Langham having gradually faded out) decided to split the band up (JJ going on to make Art of Silence rcords on his won Axxiomatic label). More recently Trevor Horn and Anne Dudley (and possibly others) re-activated the ZTT band (referring to it as The Art of Noise as the image of a band at the end of the 20th century (possibly for legal resaons???)). It's a one-sided 12" acetate from 'Tape-One Studios', which has written "Andrew Poppy // Inside The Wolf (The Tube Theme) 3:30" on it. It does in fact play 3:30 (or 3.33) at 45rpm, but I find it more interesting playing at 33rpm... - -Joerg P.S.: BTW, I think they credited Jeff Beck & Trevor Horn for _one_ other theme of theirs (before Andrew's). # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Email majordomo@xmission.com with "info ztt" in the message. # Postings must go to ztt@xmission.com -- replies go to original sender. # ZTT discography available at http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?ztt ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Apr 1998 18:38:41 -0400 From: matheas Subject: Re: (ztt) Propaganda.
